เมื่อวันที่ 9 กรกฎาคม 2558 เวลา 10.00 น. ณ ห้องประชุมศูนย์ปฏิบัติการจังหวัดภูเก็ต (POC) ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต พล.ต. รณณรงค์ โคตรดำรง รอง ผอ.ศปป. 4 กอ.รมน. เข้าตรวจราชการในพื้นที่ กอ.รมน.ภาค 4 เพื่อขับเคลื่อนกลไกการแก้ไขปัญหาการแก้ไขปัญหาการบุกรุกทำลายทรัพยากรป่าไม้ และการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย โดยมี นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายสุธีร ทองแย้ม รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายภาคภูมิ อินทรสุวรรณ ปลัดจังหวัดภูเก็ต ว่าที่ ร.ต. ตระกูล โทธรรม ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยเขต 18 ภูเก็ต หัวหน้าศูนย์ราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม
สำหรับการประชุมในครั้งนี้ มีการเร่งรัดเรื่องการแก้ไขปัญหาการบุกรุกทำลายทรัพยากรป่าไม้ในพื้นที่ และการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย ของ กอ.รมน.จังหวัดภูเก็ตด้านความคืบหน้าของ การแก้ไขปัญหาการบุกรุกทำลายทรัพยากรป่าไม้ในพื้นที่ที่ มีการจับกุม และดำเนินคดีกับผู้กระทำผิด บุกรุกทำลายทรัพยากรป่าไม้ ในปีพ.ศ.2558 มีจำนวนคดี ทั้งสิ้น 28 คดี ผู้ต้องหา 39 ราย และพื้นที่ถูกบุกรุก 213 ไร่เศษ การแก้ไขปัญหาตัดโค่นต้นยางพาราตามนโยบายรัฐบาล อุทยานแห่งชาติสิรินาถ 40,000 แปลง อยู่ระหว่างการดำเนินการ ป่าเทือกเขากมลา 2,200 ไร่ อยู่ระหว่างการดำเนินการ และสวนป่าบางขนุน 1 แปลง 80 กว่าไร่ อยู่ระหว่าการดำเนินการ ด้านของแนวทางการแก้ไข คือ เร่งรัดระบบการยุติธรรม เพื่อให้ผู้กระทำผิดเกิดความเกรงกลัวในกฎหมาย ควรมอบให้กรมสอบสวนคดีพิเศษ เร่งชี้มูล เพื่อให้ผู้กระทำผิดเกิดความเกรงกลัว และควรให้เจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการซื้อขายเปลี่ยนมือ หยุดการทำธุรกรรมทั้งสิ้นกับการเปลี่ยนมือ ในส่วนของปัญหาและอุปสรรค์ ขาดในส่วนสาระสำคัญของสาระบบ และความคืบหน้าของคดีแปลงที่ดินที่ได้มีการแจ้งความแต่เป็นไปอย่างล่าช้า ขณะที่ด้านปัญหาภัยแล้ง สำนักงานป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยจังหวัดภูเก็ตร่วมกับองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นได้มีการแจกจ่ายน้ำอุปโภคบริโภคในพื้นที่ขาดแคลนโดยปริมาณน้ำในอ่างเก็บน้ำบางวาด อ่างบางเหนียวดำ มีปริมาณน้ำเข้ามาในอ่างเพิ่มขึ้น หลังจากที่ฝนตกในพื้นที่จังหวัดภูเก็ตมาหลายวัน
