เมื่อวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม 2558 เวลา 18.30 น. ณ โรงแรมภูเก็ตรอยัลซิตี้ นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดงาน “CD day Phuket 58” ตามโครงการส่งเสริมพัฒนากลไกการตลาดผลิตภัณฑ์ OTOP เพื่อการท่องเที่ยว และมอบประกาศเกียรติคุณ โดยมี พัฒนาการจังหวัด หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ประธานกรรมการบริษัทอนุภาษและบุตร คณะกรรมการเครือข่ายงานพัฒนาชุมชน เข้าร่วม

นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ กล่าวว่า ตนเองให้ความสำคัญเป็นอย่างมากงานพัฒนาองค์กร โดยเฉพาะเป็นองค์กรในระดับชุมชนรากหญ้า ที่เป็นกลไกในการขับเคลื่อนชุมชนให้เข้มแข็ง ภายใต้ชื่อ “ CD day Phuket 58 ” ตามโครงการส่งเสริมพัฒนากลไกการตลาดผลิตภัณฑ์ OTOP เพื่อการท่องเที่ยว เป็นงานที่ได้รวมพลังชุมชนโดยการมอบหมายภารกิจให้ผู้นำองค์กรชุมชนในระดับหมู่บ้านตำบล ได้มาจัดแสดงศักยภาพความเข้มแข็งของหมู่บ้านชุมชนต่อสาธารณะชน ในกิจกรรมที่สำคัญตามแนวทางพระราชดำริ และการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ร่วมกันของผู้นำชุมชน นำไปสู่การพัฒนายกระดับความเข้มแข็งของชุมชนซึ่งเป็นฐานรากของประเทศ

การจัดแสดงกิจกรรมหมู่บ้านเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงต้นแบบของทั้งสามอำเภอ การขับเคลื่อนหมู่บ้านเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ซึ่งได้ดำเนินการตามแนวทางปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงที่พ่อหลวงได้พระราชทานแก้ปวงชนชาวไทย สามารถนำไปใช้ได้ทุกระดับ เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรมสร้างความเจริญรุ่งเรืองทางเศรษฐกิจแบบยั่งยืน ทางสายกลางหลักของความพอเพียง พอประมาณ และมีภูมิคุ้มกัน การใช้ความรู้ควบคู่ด้วยคุณธรรม งานตามภารกิจของจังหวัดตามโครงการ “ 60 ครัวเรือนแห่งความดีพัฒนาถวาย สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ในวโรกาสฉลองพระชนมายุ 5 รอบ ในวันที่ 2 เมษายน 2558”  จังหวัดมีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะยกระดับครัวเรือนในหมู่บ้านชุมชนที่ยังยากลำบากในสภาวะเศรษฐกิจของจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่มีความแตกต่างจากจังหวัดอื่นๆ โดยการลงไปให้กำลังใจ มอบสิ่งของที่จำเป็นทั้งด้านการประกอบอาชีพและการดูแลสุขภาพของคนในครัวเรือน
