สาธารณสุขจังหวัดภูเก็ตจัดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ การพัฒนาทักษะของบุคลากรด้านการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินในการช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยฉุกเฉิน ณ จุดเกิดเหตุ (EMS Rally) ในเขตสุขภาพที่ 11เพื่อเป็นการพัฒนาความรู้และเพิ่มทักษะอย่างต่อเนื่อง และให้มีคุณภาพและได้มาตรฐานระดับเดียวกับสากล
เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม  2559  เวลา 09.00 น. ที่บริเวณสวนสาธารณะ สะพานหิน ต.ตลาดใหญ่ อ.เมือง จ.ภูเก็ต นายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการการพัฒนาทักษะของบุคลากรด้านการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินในการช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยฉุกเฉิน ณ จุดเกิดเหตุ (EMS Rally) ในเขตสุขภาพที่ 11 โดยมี นายแพทย์บัญชา ค้าของ นายแพทย์สาธารณสุขจังหวัดภูเก็ต นางเบญจวรรณ ตัมพานุวัตร ประธานมูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต ผู้บริหารโรงพยาบาลรัฐและผู้บริหารเอกชน ผู้แทนสถาบันการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินแห่งชาติ และผู้แทนโรงพยาบาลต่างๆ ในจังหวัดภูเก็ต ตลอดจน ทีมงานกู้ชีพทุกทีมในจังหวัดภูเก็ต เข้าร่วม

นายแพทย์บัญชา ค้าของ นายแพทย์สาธารณสุขจังหวัดภูเก็ต กล่าวว่า สืบเนื่องจากสถานการณ์การเจ็บป่วยฉุกเฉินและอุบัติเหตุมีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้น การช่วยเหลือไม่ทันการณ์และไม่เหมาะสมตามหลักวิชาการแพทย์ จะทำให้มีผู้เสียชีวิตและพิการเพิ่มมากขึ้น ดังนั้นทีมกู้ชีพที่มีหน้าที่ช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วย ณ จุดเกิดเหตุ จะต้องมีการพัฒนาความรู้และเพิ่มทักษะอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อให้มีคุณภาพและได้มาตรฐานระดับเดียวกับสากล

สำหรับการจัดแข่งขัน EMS Rally ในครั้งนี้ จังหวัดภูเก็ตได้รับเกียรติจากสถาบันการแพทย์ฉุกเฉินแห่งชาติให้เป็นตัวแทนเขตสุขภาพที่ 11 จัดแข่งขันและสนับสนุนงบประมาณ เพื่อเป็นการกระตุ้นการพัฒนาความรู้ ความสามารถของบุคลากรในเครือข่ายกู้ชีพให้ต้องกระตือรือร้น ซักซ้อมบ่อยๆ และสร้างความเข็มแข็งในทีมงานและเครือข่าย โดยการจัดการแข่งขันครั้งนี้เป็นการจัดแข่งขันระดับเขตสุขภาพที่ 11 มี 7 จังหวัด ประกอบด้วย จังหวัดระนอง ชุมพร สุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช กระบี่ พังงา และภูเก็ต โดยแต่ละทีมจะมีแพทย์ พยาบาล เวชกิจฉุกเฉิน และนักปฏิบัติการกู้ชีพ รวม 15 คนต่อทีม การแข่งขันจะมี 6 ฐานวิชาการ ได้แก่ ฐานอายุรกรรม สูติกรรม เด็ก ศัลยกรรม อุบัติเหตุหมู่ และการช่วยเหลือทางน้ำ ซึ่งทีมชนะเลิศจะได้เป็นตัวแทนภาคใต้ในการแข่งขัน EMS Rally ระดับประเทศ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ศาลายา ในวันที่ 31 ม.ค.59 นี้ ในส่วนวิทยากรประจำฐานได้รับการสนับสนุนแพทย์ พยาบาลผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากจังหวัดในเขต 11 ทั้ง 7 จังหวัด

นายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต กล่าวถึงการจัดแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ว่า ถือว่าเป็นการกระตุ้นการพัฒนาความรู้ความสามารถของบุคลากรในเครือข่ายกู้ชีพทุกคนให้มีความกระตือรือร้นในการช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วย และสามารถช่วยเหลือผู้ป่วยได้ถูกวิธีอีกด้วยนอกจากนี้จะเป็นการประสานงานระหว่างทีมโรงพยาบาล หน่วยกู้ชีพ รวมทั้งศูนย์สั่งการ และระบบวิทยุสื่อสารในเครือข่ายทั้งภายในจังหวัดและการประสานภายนอกจังหวัดต่อไป
