คณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชนเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน ร่วมประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อนำกลุ่มอันดามันไปสู่การเป็นเมืองอาหาร ทิวทัศน์ บรรยากาศทางทะเล

เมื่อวันที่ 24 พฤศจิกายน  2559  ณ โรงแรมรอยัลภูเก็ต ซิตี้ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายธีระ อนันตเสรีวิทยา รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ในฐานะเลขานุการคณะกรรมการบริหารงานกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน เป็นประธานในการเปิดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการคณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชนเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจ หรือ ก.ร.อ. กลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน โดยมีหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ หัวหน้าหน่วยงาน ผู้บริหารองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ผู้แทนกระทรวง และภาคเอกชนในกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน ประกอบด้วยจังหวัดตรัง ระนอง กระบี่ พังงา และภูเก็ตเข้าร่วมประชุมอย่างพร้อมเพรียงกัน

นายธีระ อนันตเสรีวิทยา กล่าวว่า ทุกท่านที่เข้ามาร่วมประชุมในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นบุคคลสำคัญที่จะได้ร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนทิศทางในการพัฒนากลุ่มจังหวัด และเป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้ทุกภาคส่วน ทั้งภาครัฐและภาคธุรกิจเอกชน ได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการให้ข้อคิดเห็น ข้อเสนอแนะ และร่วมกันกำหนดแผนงานโครงการ กิจกรรม เพื่อไปต่อยอดทิศทางการพัฒนา ที่จะนำอันดามันไปสู่การเป็นเมืองอาหาร ทิวทัศน์ บรรยากาศทางทะเล (Food & Panoramic Tourism) เพื่อเพิ่มศักยภาพและขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน

การประชุมในครั้งนี้ เป็นไปตามนโยบายของพลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ที่ได้เน้นย้ำเรื่องทิศทางการพัฒนาให้ทุกภาคส่วนน้อมนำศาสตร์พระราชา หลักทรงงานของพระบาทสมเด็จพระปรมินทรมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชเป็นหลักในการพัฒนาประเทศ ตามยุทธศาสตร์ที่ 9 การพัฒนาภาค เมือง และพื้นที่เศรษฐกิจ โดยกำหนดให้ภาคใต้เป็นแหล่งผลิตภัณฑ์ยางพาราและปาล์มน้ำมันที่สำคัญของประเทศ รวมทั้งผลิตภัณฑ์อาหารทะเลที่ได้มาตรฐานสากล ตลอดจนแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางทะเลให้ติดอันดับโลก จึงเป็นที่มาของการจัดประชุมเพื่อกำหนดทิศทางการพัฒนากลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามันในครั้งนี้
