สมาคมกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ตประชุมกรรมการบริหารฯ พร้อมหนุนการแข่งขัน ไทคัพ มหกรรมกีฬาท้องถิ่นแห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 14 ระดับเขตภาคใต้ตอนบน

วันที่14 ตุลาคม  2558  เวลา 13.30 น. ที่สำนักงานสมาคมกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายธรรมวรรธ วงศ์เจริญยศ นายกสมาคมกีฬาแห่งจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในการประชุมคณะกรรมการบริหารฯ ครั้งที่ 1/2559 ซึ่งมีการแจ้งให้ที่ประชุมทราบว่า คำนึง สิงห์เอี่ยม เลขาธิการสมาคมกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้มีหนังสือขอลาออกจากตำแหน่ง ซึ่งจะมีการจัดสรรบุคคลที่เหมาะสมมาดำรงตำแหน่งในโอกาสต่อไป
ที่ประชุมได้หารือถึงการให้การสนับสนุน ไทคัพ มหกรรมกีฬาท้องถิ่นแห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 14 ระดับเขตภาคใต้ตอนบน ซึ่งทางจังหวัดจะมีการประชุมหารืออีกครั้งในเวลา 13.00 น.วันที่ 15 ต.ค.2558 ทั้งนี้ กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เสนอให้จังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นเจ้าภาพจัด ไทคัพ มหกรรมกีฬาท้องถิ่นแห่งประเทศไทย ครั้งที่ 14 ระดับเขตภาคใต้ตอนบน รวมทั้งสิ้น 7 จังหวัด ประกอบด้วย จังหวัดชุมพร ระนอง สุราษฎร์ธานี นครศรีธรรมราช กระบี่ พังงา และจังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยจะแข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 29 ตุลาคม-5 พฤศจิกายน 2558 ประกอบด้วยกีฬาหลากหลายชนิด ทั้งฟุตบอลประชาชนชาย ฟุตบอลอาวุโส ฟุตบอลหญิง เซปักตะกร้อ และตะกร้อลอดห่วง วอลเลย์บอล เปตอง และกีฬาพื้นบ้านประกอบด้วย ชักเย่อ วิ่งเปี้ยวอุ้มแตงโม วิ่งกระสอบ วิ่ง 3 ขา วิ่งตะขาบ อ้วนผจญภัย สำหรับการจัดแข่งขันครั้งนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีในหมู่คณะ เพื่อส่งเสริมประชาชนให้ออกกำลังกาย เพื่อส่งเสริมความเป็นเลิศในด้านกีฬา เพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในจังหวัดภูเก็ตอีกด้วย
การจัดการแข่งขันครั้งนี้เป็นการคัดเลือกตัวแทนระดับเขตภาคใต้ตอนบน มีทั้งหมด 7 จังหวัด เพื่อคัดเลือกผู้ชนะแต่ละประเภทของการจัดการแข่งขันไปชิงแชมป์ที่กรุงเทพมหานครต่อไป นอกจากจัดการแข่งขันกีฬาฯแล้ว ยังมีการจัดประกวดกองเชียร์ และในภาคค่ำตั้งแต่วันที่ 29 ต.ค.-5 พ.ย.2558 ทางบริษัทสิงห์ฯ ยังได้จัดกิจกรรมมหกรรมอาหารสะอาด รสชาติอร่อย ที่ศูนย์การค้าดิลก ไทม์ สแควร์ หลังธนาคารกสิกรไทย สาขาศูนย์การค้าดิลกภูเก็ต อีกด้วย ซึ่งในงานจะมีการออกบูทอาหารที่มีชื่อเสียงของจังหวัดภูเก็ตมาจำหน่ายให้แก่ประชาชน และนักท่องเที่ยวอีกด้วย ซึ่งในแต่ละคืนจะมีการแสดงของศิลปินนักร้องชื่อดัง เช่น วิคไฮเปอร์ สกายพาส วงกลม เป็นต้น โดยหวังว่าจะได้รับความร่วมมือจากพี่น้องประชาชนร่วมชม และร่วมเชียร์มหกรรมกีฬาฯ ครั้งนี้เป็นจำนวนมาก
