เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ใจป้ำ ดึงผู้ฝึกสอนดีกรีทีมชาติไทยมาเป็นวิทยาการฝึกสอน นักกีฬาในสังกัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต เพื่อส่งเสริมความเป็นเลิศด้านกีฬาและเตรียมตัวก่อนการแข่งขันกีฬาองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นระดับประเทศ 

เมื่อวันที่ 21 ธันวาคม  2558  เวลา 14.00 น. นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดโครงการส่งเสริมการจัดกิจกรรมสู่ความเป็นเลิศด้านกีฬา โดยมีนายธวัชชัย ทองมั่ง ปลัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต กล่าวรายงาน นายวิสุทธิ์ พรหมทอง รองประธานสภาเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต  นายธรรมวรรธ วงศ์เจริญยศ นายกสมาคมกีฬาแห่งจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายนิกร ศุภนาม อุปนายกสมาคมกีฬาแห่งจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายวาริน ขาวทอง นายไกรรักษ์ ชูชาติ คณะกรรมการบริหารสมาคมกีฬาแห่งจังหวัดภูเก็ต ร่วมเป็นเกียรติด้วย

นายธวัชชัย ทองมั่ง ปลัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต กล่าวว่า ด้วยฝ่ายกิจกรรมเด็กและเยาวชน สำนักการศึกษาเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต จัดโครงการส่งเสริมการจัดกิจกรรมสู่ความเป็นเลิศด้านกีฬา ประจำปี 2558 ระหว่างวันที่ 21-28 ธันวาคม 2558 มีชนิดกีฬาประกอบด้วยฟุตบอล-ฟุตซอล -แบดมินตัน -เทเบิลเทนนิส –เปตอง-วอลเล่ย์บอลในร่ม วอลเลย์บอลชายหาด เซปัคตะกร้อ และกรีฑา รวมทั้งสิน 263 คน เพื่อพัฒนาเทคนิคและทักษะของนักกีฬาในสังกัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ให้มีศักยภาพสูงขึ้นเพื่อสนับสนุนส่งเสริมนโยบายพัฒนากีฬาของกรมการปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น กระทรวงมหาดไทย

นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา  กล่าวว่า จากการกล่าวรายงาน วัตถุประสงค์สำคัญในการจัดโครงการครั้งนี้ เพื่อพัฒนาเทคนิคและทักษะของนักกีฬาก่อนการเดินทางไปแข่งขัน เพื่อให้ประสบความสำเร็จในการแข่งขัน ซึ่งได้รับความร่วมมือจากคณะผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา ผู้ฝึกสอน และผู้ปกครอง ที่มีส่วนร่วมสนับสนุน จนทำให้เกิดกิจกรรมสู่ความเป็นเลิศในครั้งนี้ และขอขอบคุณวิทยากรทุกคนที่มาช่วยเติมเต็มให้ทีมกีฬาเทศบาลนครภูเก็ตเข้มแข็งขึ้น และมีทักษะสูงขึ้น เพื่อที่จะแข่งขันกับทีมต่างๆ และสร้างผลงานได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยมในอนาคตต่อไป
