เมื่อวันที่ 29 เมษายน 2558 ที่ห้องประชุม 1 อาคารศูนย์ประชุมกลุ่มจังหวัดอันดามันศาลากลาง จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการจังหวัด และหัวหน้าส่วนราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ครั้งที่ 4/ 2558 เพื่อติดตามผลการปฏิบัติราชการตามนโยบายของรัฐบาล ในรอบเดือนที่ผ่านมา พร้อมทั้งมอบหมายภารกิจงานให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องนำไปปฏิบัติเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดต่อประชาชน โดยมีหัวหน้าส่วนราชการต่างๆ ในจังหวัดภูเก็ต เข้าร่วมประชุมอย่างพร้อมเพรียง
ทั้งนี้ ก่อนการประชุมจะเริ่มขึ้น ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้มอบประกาศนียบัตรแก่หน่วยงานภาครัฐ และภาคเอกชนที่ให้การสนับสนุนการขับเคลื่อนกิจกรรมลดอุบัติเหตุทางถนนและทางทะเลช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ประจำปี 2558 ที่ผ่านมา สำหรับวาระการประชุมที่สำคัญในครั้งนี้ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้ติดตามผลการดำเนินการตามนโยบายของรัฐบาลในรอบเดือนเมษายน 2558 อาทิ การขับเคลื่อนภาพรวมตัวชี้วัดการพัฒนาจังหวัดภูเก็ต รวม 26 ตัวชี้วัด ,ตัวชี้วัดคุณภาพชีวิต ความจำเป็นพื้นฐาน (จปฐ.) จำนวน 30 ตัวชี้วัด, การแก้ไขปัญหาการจราจรในพื้นที่จังหวัดภูเก็ต, การบริหารจัดการขยะและน้ำเสีย, การบริหารจัดการรถยนต์บริการสาธารณะ (TAXI), การเร่งรัดการเบิกจ่ายงบประมาณ ประจำปี 2558, การบริหารจัดการชายหาด ซึ่งประเด็นนี้ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้สั่งการหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ส่วนท้องถิ่น และผู้ประกอบการภาคเอกชน เน้นการดำเนินการประชาสัมพันธ์ แจ้งเตือน และสร้างการรับรู้และความเข้าใจแก่นักท่องเที่ยวด้วย ส่วนการให้ความช่วยเหลือเยียวยาผู้ได้รับผลกระทบจากการจัดระเบียบชายหาด คณะทำงานได้ดำเนินการช่วยเหลือไปแล้ว 1,116 ราย คิดเป็นสัดส่วนร้อยละ 78.6 และการแก้ไขปัญหาเรื่องร้องเรียนผ่านศูนย์ดำรงธรรมจังหวัดภูเก็ต ซึ่งในเดือนเมษายน มีเรื่องร้องเรียน จำนวน 74 เรื่อง โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ได้ดำเนินการแก้ไข จนนำไปสู่การยุติเรื่องร้องเรียนได้แล้วจำนวน 61 เรื่อง.
