เมื่อวันที่ 12 มี.ค. 59 ที่ผ่านมา ที่สวนพระพุทธศาสนาวัดม่วงโกมารภัจจ์ จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในทำพิธีบวงสรวงปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย บรรพชนผู้กล้าเมืองถลาง ในงานวัฒนธรรมท้าวเทพกระษัตรี ท้าวศรีสุนทร ประจำปี 2559 โดยมี ว่าที่ ร.ต.วิกรม จากที่ นายอำเภอถลาง พร้อมด้วยพระสงฆ์ จำนวน 87 รูป และประชาชนเข้าร่วม

ช่วงเช้า ทำพิธีบวงสรวงปู่ ย่า ตา ยาย บรรพชนผู้กล้าเมืองถลาง โดย นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต จุดธูปเทียนบูชาพระรัตนตรัย พระสงฆ์เจริญพระพุทธมนต์/ พิธีทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคี ทำพิธีตักบาตร ถวายสังฆทาน และถวายภัตตาหารเพล ส่วนช่วงบ่าย กำนัน ผู้ใหญ่บ้าน และผู้ร่วมขบวน พร้อมกันที่หน้าอำเภอถลาง และพี่น้องประชาชน พร้อมกันที่บริเวณวัดม่วงฯ เพื่อทำพิธีบวงสรวง ในเวลา 17.00 น. เป็นต้นไป
สำหรับงานดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อเชิดชูเกียรติประวัติ ท้าวเทพกระษัตรี-ท้าวศรีสุนทร (ย่าจัน-ย่ามุก) ให้อนุชนรุ่นหลัง ได้ตระหนักถึงวีรกรรมอันยิ่งใหญ่ของบรรพชนที่ได้เสียสละเลือดเนื้อและชีวิตในการปกป้องรักษาแผ่นดินไว้ให้ลูกหลานได้จวบจนทุกวันนี้
