ผศ.ดร. ประภา กาหยี อธิการบดี มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต กล่าวว่า “ทางมหาวิทยาลัยได้ร่วมกับทาง สถานีตำรวจภูธรเมืองภูเก็ต จัดพิธีรับมอบหมวกกันน็อค แก่อาจารย์ นักศึกษา บุคลากร เพื่อรณรงค์ให้ผู้ขับขี่และผู้โดยสารรถจักรยานยนต์ ทั้งภายในและภายนอกมหาวิทยาลัย สวมหมวกนิรภัย 100% อันเป็นการลดความเสียหายต่อชีวิตเมื่อเกิดอุบัติเหตุขึ้น โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มนักศึกษา ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่มีการขับขี่รถจักรยานยนต์ในชีวิตประจำวัน เป็นกลุ่มเป้าหมายที่เหมาะสมสำหรับการปลูกฝังพฤติกรรม และสร้างการตระหนักรู้ ถึงความสำคัญในการดูแลความปลอดภัยของตนเองบนท้องถนน เพียงแค่สวมหมวกกันน็อค และเชื่อว่ากลุ่มนักศึกษาเหล่านี้เมื่อหันมาให้ความร่วมมือกันแบบ 100% จะช่วยสร้างวัฒนธรรมที่ดีให้เกิดขึ้นภายในสถานศึกษา และสะท้อนภาพลักษณ์ในทางบวกไปสู่ผู้ที่ได้พบเห็นภายนอก ดังนั้นขอขอบคุณทางสถานีตำรวจภูธร ที่ออกมาตรการประชาสัมพันธ์ในเชิงรุก มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต จะสนับสนุนมาตรการขับขี่ปลอดภัยภายในสถานศึกษาอย่างต่อเนื่อง” อธิการบดี กล่าว
