สำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดภูเก็ต จัดอบรมหลักสูตรมาตรฐานอาสาสมัครพิทักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมหมู่บ้าน จังหวัดภูเก็ต ประจำปี 2558 เพื่อสร้างภาคีเครือข่ายในการดูแลทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของจังหวัดภูเก็ตอย่างยั่งยืน

เมื่อวันที่ 1 กันยายน  2558  ที่ห้องพระพิทักษ์แกรนด์บอลรูม โรงแรมเมโทรโพลภูเก็ต อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดการฝึกอบรมหลักสูตรมาตรฐานอาสาสมัครพิทักษ์และสิ่งแวดล้อมหมู่บ้าน หรือ ทสม. จังหวัดภูเก็ต ประจำปี 2558 ซึ่งสำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดภูเก็ต จัดขึ้น โดยมีนายเกษม สุขวารี ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วย ประธานเครือข่าย ทสม.จังหวัดภูเก็ต และเครือข่าย ทสม.จังหวัดภูเก็ต จำนวน 270 คน เข้าร่วม

นายเกษม สุขวารี ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดภูเก็ต กล่าวถึงวัตถุประสงค์ของการจัดฝึกอบรมในครั้งนี้ว่า เพื่อให้สมาชิก ทสม.ที่เป็นสมาชิกใหม่ ซึ่งสำนักงานทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้ดำเนินการจัดทำบัตรประจำตัวให้เรียบร้อยแล้ว ได้ทราบและเข้าใจถึงบทบาท หน้าที่ สิทธิประโยชน์ และกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ ทสม. เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการดำเนินงานด้านการดูแลรักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมทั้งเพื่อให้สมาชิก ทสม. ทราบถึงสถานการณ์และปัญหาด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นความรู้และใช้เป็นข้อมูลพื้นฐานในการปฏิบัติงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ตลอดจนเป็นการเสริมสร้างทักษะและเทคนิคการทำงานให้แก่ ทสม. โดยกระบวนการเสริมสร้างความสามัคคี การมีส่วนร่วมและเชื่อมโยงเป็นเครือข่าย ทสม. เพื่อให้การดำเนินงานของ ทสม. มีระบบและมีประสิทธิภาพ

ด้านนายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้มอบนโยบายแก่ เครือข่าย ทสม.จังหวัดภูเก็ต ทั้ง 270 คน ว่า จังหวัดภูเก็ต ดำเนินงานภายใต้ 4 ยุทธศาสตร์ คือ เพิ่มมาตรฐานของเมือง /สร้างความเชื่อมั่นด้านความปลอดภัย /บริหารจัดการอย่างยั่งยืน /อนุรักษ์และรักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ซึ่งการอนุรักษ์และรักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ นั้น ต้องอาศัยความมีส่วนร่วมจากทุกภาคส่วนโดยเฉพาะ ทสม. การอบรมในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสร้างพลังความร่วมมือเป็นภาคีเครือข่ายเพื่อช่วยกันดูแลทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของจังหวัดภูเก็ตอย่างยั่งยืน อาทิ การจัดการขยะ การบริหารจัดการชายหาด การขุดดินถมดิน การดูแลป่าชายเลน เป็นต้น ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์เป็นภาพลักษณ์ที่งดงามสำหรับเมืองท่องเที่ยวระดับโลก และเป็นมรดกให้กับลูกหลานสืบต่อไป
