ราชภัฏภูเก็ต บริการอุปกรณ์ชมปรากฏการณ์สุริยุปราคา ปชช.ร่วมชมคับคั่ง

วันที่ 8 มีนาคม 2559 ณ วงเวียนภิรมย์รัตน์ สาขาวิชาฟิสิกส์ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ม.ราชภัฏภูเก็ต จัดกิจกรรม กินกาแฟ แลสุริยุปราคา เหนือฟ้าราชภัฏภูเก็ต โดยมี ผศ.ดร.ประภา กาหยี อธิการบดี นายสันทัศน์ ปานบ้านแพ้ว ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์อุตุนิยมวิทยาภาคใต้ฝั่งตะวันตก นายรังสรรค์ พลสมัคร คณบดีคณะวิทย์ฯ ผศ.ศักดิ์ชาย เพชรช่วย อาจารย์สาขาวิชาฟิสิกส์ ตลอดจน ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์ นักเรียน นักศึกษา ประชาชน และสื่อมวลชน จำนวนกว่า 500 คน ร่วมชมปรากฎการณ์สุริยุปราคา

ทั้งนี้มหาวิทยาลัยได้อำนวยความสะดวก โดยการให้บริการแว่นตาและหน้ากากติดฟิล์มกรองแสงคุณภาพสูง แผ่นกรองแสงขนาดใหญ่ กระจกเชื่อมโลหะเบอร์ 14 และสังเกตผ่านกล้องดูดาว ให้แสงแดดตกลงบนฉากรับภาพ รวมทั้งใช้กระจกเงาสะท้อนฝาผนัง และกล้องรูเข็ม ในการสังเกตปรากฏการณ์สุริยุปราคา สำหรับในจังหวัดภูเก็ต ดวงอาทิตย์เริ่มบดบังดวงจันทร์ในเวลา 06.36 น. บดบังมากที่สุด กว่า 60% ช่วงเวลา 07.25 น. และจะไปสิ้นสุดในช่วงเวลา 08.28 น. ทั้งนี้ ปรากฏการณ์ดังกล่าวสร้างความตื่นเต้นให้แก่กลุ่มนักเรียน นักศึกษา และประชาชนเป็นอย่างมาก โดยเฉพาะในช่วงเวลาประมาณ 07.20 น. ซึ่งสามารถมองเห็นปรากฏการณ์สุริยุปราคา ด้วยตาเปล่าได้อย่างชัดเจน การจัดกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นกิจกรรมทางดาราศาสตร์ครั้งสำคัญ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยจัดขึ้นเพื่อให้บริการแก่ท้องถิ่น และช่วยส่งเสริมความสนใจทางวิทยาศาสตร์ให้กับเยาวชน
