หน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชนในจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้มีการเปิดศูนย์เพื่อรับบริจาคสิ่งของเพื่อนำไปช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุกภัยในพื้นที่
เมื่อวันที่ 9 มกราคม 2560  ที่กองบังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต พล.ต.ต.ธีระพล ทิพย์เจริญ ผู้บังการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้มีการเปิดศูนย์รับบริจาคสิ่งของ ข้าวสาร อาหารแห้ง อาหารกระป๋อง ยารักษาโรค ฯลฯ จากทั้งข้าราชการตำรวจ ภาคเอกชน และประชาชนชาวจังหวัดภูเก็ต เพื่อนำไปช่วยผู้ประสบอุทกภัยในพื้นที่ ที่ได้รับความเดือดร้อน

โดยก่อนหน้านี้ได้มีการทยอยนำไปมอบให้ผู้ประสบอุทกภัยในพื้นที่จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี และในจังหวัดชุมพร ส่วนในวันนี้จะนำสิ่งของบริจาคไปมอบให้ประชาชนที่ประสบอุทกภัยยังจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราชจำนวน 2 คันรถสิบล้อ

สำหรับประชาชนที่จะบริจาคสิ่งของเพื่อช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบอุทกภัย สามารถบริจาคสิ่งของได้ที่สำนักงานป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยจังหวัดภูเก็ตศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต ตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต องค์ปกครองปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นในทุกพื้นที่ และศูนย์รับริจาคของหน่วยงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดภูเก็ต
