เมื่อวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม  2558  เวลา 14.00 น. ดร.อัตนันท์ เตโชพิศาลวงศ์ อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตรนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ พร้อมด้วยนักศึกษา หลักสูตรนิเทศศาสตร์ จำนวน 20 คน ได้เข้าศึกษาดูงานด้านกระบวนการผลิตเพื่อการประชาสัมพันธ์องค์กร ที่สำนักงานประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดภูเก็ต ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยมี นางบุษยา ใจเปี่ยม ประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายโสภณ เคี่ยมการ ผู้ช่วยประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดภูเก็ต ให้การตอนรับ
ดร.อัตนันท์ เตโชพิศาลวงศ์ กล่าวว่า เนื่องด้วย หลักสูตรนิเทศศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ ได้มีการเปิดการเรียนการในรายสอนวิชา การประชาสัมพันธ์ของรัฐและธุรกิจ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์รายวิชาในการให้นักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้การทำงานด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ของทั้งองค์กรภาครัฐและธุรกิจ ทั้งนี้การดูงานในครั้งนี้ จึงเป็นการดูงานขององค์กรภายนอกและถือเป็นกิจกรรมเสริมการศึกษาให้แก่นักศึกษา เพื่อให้ได้รับความรู้เสริมภาคทฤษฎี โดยการสังเกต ดูงาน และรับฟัง จากากรถ่ายทอดความรู้จากประสบการณ์จริง จากองค์กรต่างๆ
ทั้งนี้ นอกจากศึกษาดูงาน ในส่วนของสำนักงานประชาสัมพันธ์จังหวัดภูเก็ตแล้ว ในวันพรุ่งนี้ทางคณะนักศึกษาจะได้ศึกษาดูงาน ด้านการประชาสัมพันธ์ ที่การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานภูเก็ต รวมถึงดูกิจกรรมงานประเพณีถือศีลกินผัก จังหวัดภูเก็ต และวิถีวัฒนธรรม ย่านเมืองเก่าภูเก็ต รวมทั้งสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่สำคัญของจังหวัดภูเก็ต
