ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ตรวจโครงการก่อสร้างถนนยกระดับสายคลองเกาะผี ก่อนจะเปิดใช้เส้นทางบนสะพาน

เมื่อวันที่ 1 มีนาคม  2559  เวลา 10.00 น. นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วย นายธีรพร จิระรัตนากร ผู้อำนวยการแขวงทางหลวงชนบทจังหวัดภูเก็ต เข้าตรวจพื้นที่โครงการก่อสร้างถนนยกระดับสายคลองเกาะผี ตำบลวิชิต ตลาดเหนือ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต

นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เปิดเผยว่าโครงการก่อสร้างถนนยกระดับสายคลองเกาะผี เป็นสะพานที่พี่น้องประชาชนจังหวัดภูเก็ตต้องการมานาน ซึ่งใช้เวลาในการดำเนินการงานของโครงการนี้กว่า 10 ปี และได้ตั้งชื่อของสะพานนี้ชื่อว่าสะพานเทพศรีสินทร์ ชื่อนี้ได้มาจากการประกวดชื่อของเทศบาลนครภูเก็ตและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง สะพานนี้มีระยะทางของสะพาน 495 เมตร โดยประมาณ โดยสร้างมาตั้งแต่ปี 2556 – ปัจจุบัน หมดสัญญาไปเมื่อกันยายนปี 2558 และในขณะนี้อยู่ในขั้นตอนการถูกปรับวันละเกือบ 2 แสนบาท คาดว่าจะสามารถส่งมอบงานได้ประมาณกลางเดือนนี้ หลังจากนั้นก็จะเปิดให้พี่น้องประชาชนได้สัญจรไปมาได้ตามปกติ ซึ่งโครงการนี้สำเร็จในปี 2559 สามารถเป็นส่วนช่วยสำคัญในการที่จะแบ่งเบารถที่วิ่งมาจากถนนเจ้าฟ้าตะวันออกหรือตะวันตกทั้งสองเส้นที่จะเข้าเมือง โดยเข้าทางซ้ายก็ไปบ้านบางเหนียว ถ้าวิ่งตรงไปออกทางเส้นเทพนิมิต ซึ่งสามารถที่จะแบ่งเบารถที่วิ่งเข้ามาในเมืองได้และลดความแออัดของการจราจรในเมืองได้พอสมควร

นอกจากนี้ยังมีแนวทางในการแก้ปัญหาจราจรในอนาคตของถนนเทพกระษัตรี โดยมีระบบการคมนาคมของจังหวัดภูเก็ตในช่วงนี้ จากนี้ไป 5 ปีจะต้องขอบคุณทางรัฐบาลที่ให้แนวทางการแก้ปัญหาการคมนาคม ด้วยเหตุที่ว่าจังหวัดภูเก็ตเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวระดับโลก ที่มีนักท่องเที่ยวมามากไม่น้อยกว่า 12 ล้านคนต่อปี ปัญหาหลักคือการขนคนจากสนามบินหรือจากนอกเมืองเข้ามาในเมือง ด้วยทางที่เรามีเส้นทางคมนาคมเท่าเดิม 300 กว่ากิโลเมตร ซึ่งการขยายเส้นทางทำได้ยาก แต่วันนี้รัฐบาลเพิ่มช่องทางในการขยายเส้นทางจราจรเพิ่มมากขึ้น เช่น ขยาย 4 ช่องจราจรในสายป่าคลอกมาที่อนุเสาวรีย์ และเส้นที่สองคือเส้นสี่เลนจากบ้านสาคูเข้ามาเกาะแก้วคู่ขนานกับทางสายไฟฟ้าแรงสูง แต่มีระยะห่างพอสมควร แต่เดิมมีโครงการที่จะทำถนนใต้สายไฟฟ้าแรงสูง ซึ่งกำลังประชุมเพื่อจะทบทวนใหม่อีกครั้ง ด้วยเหตุที่รัฐบาลให้ถนน 4 เลน ความกว้าง 60 ถึง 80 บางช่วง เป็น 4 เลน พรีเมี่ยม ซึ่งเป็นเส้นที่สามารถรับแขกบ้านแขกเมืองมาจากสนามบินเข้าเมืองได้เลย ปลายถนนอยู่ตรง Outlet ทางแยกกับบายพาสเข้าเมืองของจังหวัดภูเก็ต ขณะนี้อยู่ในขั้นตอนการศึกษา ออกแบบและเวนคืนต่อไป คาดว่ากระบวนการนี้จะเสร็จภายใน 3 ปี จากนั้นจะมีการก่อสร้างสะพานใช้เวลาประมาณ 2 ปี อีก 5 ปีจากนี้ต่อไป เราจะเห็นถนนเส้นนี้เกิดขึ้นในจังหวัดภูเก็ต เพื่อสามารถจะแบ่งเบาภาระเส้นทางคมนาคมทางจากสนามบินเข้ามาในเมือง

นอกจากนี้ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้กล่าวต่อไปว่า มีเรื่องของรถไฟรางเบา ขณะนี้อยู่ในขั้นตอนการส่งแรงงาน EIA ถ้าจบกลางปีนี้ รัฐบาลก็จะพิจารณาในเรื่องการออกแบบการลงทุน เราก็จะเห็นรถไฟรางเบาเกิดขึ้นในจังหวัดภูเก็ตในอนาคตต่อไป
