เมื่อวันที่ 16 ธันวาคม 2558   เวลา 09.00 น.  ดร.ประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในการฝึกอบรมการสร้างกระบวนการเรียนรู้เพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ผลิตสินค้าเกษตรและแปรรูปโครงการเพิ่มศักยภาพการผลิตและการตลาดอาหารปลอดภัยสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยว โดยมีนางกานดา แป้นทอง หัวหน้ากลุ่มส่งเสริมและพัฒนาเกษตรกร สำนักงานเกษตรจังหวัดภูเก็ต เจ้าหน้าที่ในสังกัดสำนักงานเกษตรจังหวัดภูเก็ต สำนักงานเกษตรอำเภอ และส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้ารับการอบรม

นางกานดา แป้นทอง กล่าวว่า จังหวัดภูเก็ตเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวระดับโลกมีจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวเพิ่มขึ้นทุกปีและปัจจัยสำคัญในการรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวคืออาหาร ส่วนใหญ่ต้องนำเข้าจากแหล่งอื่นไม่สามารถบริหารจัดการด้านความปลอดภัยได้มากนัก ข้อมูลที่ได้จากการประเมินสถานประกอบการและแหล่งจำหน่ายอาหารพบว่ามีเพียงร้อยละ 50 ที่ผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐานอาหารปลอดภัยการผลิตสินค้าเกษตรปลอดภัยและได้มาตรฐานตามแนวทางการปฏิบัติทางการเกษตรที่ดี (GAP) มีการส่งเสริมเพื่อปรับเปลี่ยนการผลิตให้มีความปลอดภัยและได้มาตรฐานด้านพืชจำนวน 344 แปลงโดยบูรณาการกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการร่วมกันสำนักงานเกษตรจังหวัดภูเก็ตจึงได้จัดอบรมให้ความรู้โครงการเพิ่มศักยภาพการผลิตและการตลาดอาหารปลอดภัยสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวขึ้น เพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ผลิตสินค้าเกษตรและแปรรูปโครงการเพิ่มศักยภาพการผลิตและการตลาดอาหารปลอดภัยสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวขึ้น รวมถึงเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการบริหารจัดการอาหารปลอดภัยและได้มาตรฐานสร้างความเชื่อมั่นแก่ผู้บริโภคและสนับสนุนการท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดภูเก็ตรวมถึงเพื่อสนับสนุนการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้บริโภคเพื่อให้มีการรับรู้และตระหนักถึงการได้รับการบริโภคอาหารและบริการด้านอาหารที่มีมาตรฐานคุณภาพปลอดภัยและเป็นธรรมรวมถึงเพื่อให้ข้อมูลข่าวสารที่ครบถ้วนแล้วเป็นจริง เพื่อให้ผู้บริโภคตัดสินใจได้อย่างเดียวเท่าทันในการบริโภคอาหารที่มีประสิทธิภาพและเพื่อบูรณาการหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการดำเนินงานเพื่อให้เกิดผลในทางปฏิบัติและเป็นประโยชน์ต่อประชาชน
