เมื่อวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2558 ที่ห้องประชุมศูนย์พัฒนาสังคมที่ 40 ต.รัษฎา อ.เมือง จ.ภูเก็ต นายพัลลภ สิงหเสนี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการประจำปีจังหวัดภูเก็ตครั้งที่ 2/2558 มีนางพิมพร ขอสานติวิชัย พัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์จังหวัดภูเก็ตและคณะอนุกรรมการเข้าร่วม
วาระการประชุมที่สำคัญคือการพิจารณาอนุมัติขอรับเงินสนับสนุนโครงการจากกองทุนส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการจำนวน 2 โครงการและพิจารณาอนุมัติคนพิการขอกู้ยืมเงินกองทุนส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการจำนวน 8 ราย และการายงานติดตามผลการกู้ยืมเงินกองทุนส่งเสริมและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนพิการที่ได้มีการกู้ยืมไปประกอบอาชีพแล้วจำนวน 5 ราย
นางพิมพร ขอสานติวิชัย กล่าวว่า ทางสำนักงานฯได้รับคำร้องจากคนพิการและผู้ดูแลคนพิการที่ประสบปัญหาความเดือดร้อน ครอบครัวมีฐานะยากจน ขาดแคลนเงินลงทุนในการประกอบอาชีพ ยื่นคำร้องขอยืมเงินจากกองทุนส่งเสริมและพัฒนาชีวิตคนพิการเพื่อเป็นเงินทุนในการเริ่มต้นประกอบอาชีพและขยายกิจการจำนวน 8 รายเป็นเงินทั้งสิ้นกว่า 312,000 บาท โดยได้วันนี้ได้นำคำยื่นขอกู้เงินของผู้พิการทั้ง 8 รายมาเข้าที่ประชุมเพื่อพิจารณาอนุมัติโครงการกู้ยืมเงิน ทั้งนี้ผู้พิการทั้ง 8 รายได้รับการพิจารณาอนุมัติจากคณะอนุกรรมการให้เงินทุนไปประกอบอาชีพเพื่อสร้างรายได้ให้กับครอบครัวอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป อย่างไรก็ตามการติดตามผลการประกอบการของคนพิการที่กู้ยืมเงินมาประกอบกอบอาชีพแล้วจำนวน 5 รายก่อนหน้านี้นั้นพบว่าปัจจุบันมีอาชีพที่มั่นคงมีเงินหมุนเวียนใช้จ่ายในครอบครัวมีคุณภาพความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น.
