เทศบาลนครนครภูเก็ต จัดพิธีบวงสรวงพญามังกรทะเล (ฮ่ายเหล็งอ๋อง)

เมื่อวันที่ 10 กุมภาพันธ์  2559  เวลา 05.45 น. นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยนายกวี ตันสุคตานนท์ รองนายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต สมาชิกสภาเทศบาล หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และประชาชน ร่วมพิธีบวงสรวงพญามังกรทะเล (ฮ่ายเหล็งอ๋อง) เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลในการจัดงานตรุษจีน – ย้อนอดีตเมืองภูเก็ต ครั้งที่ 17 ณ บริเวณสวนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 72 พรรษา มหาราชินี

พิธีบวงสรวงพญามังกรทะเล (ฮ่ายเหล็งอ๋อง) จัดขึ้นเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลในการจัดงานตรุษจีน– ย้อนอดีตเมืองภูเก็ต ครั้งที่ 17 “พญามังกรทะเลหรือฮ่ายเหล็งอ๋อง” สัตว์มงคลที่ยิ่งใหญ่ จัดสร้างเพื่อเป็นสิริมงคล โดยสืบเนื่องมาจากเมื่อครั้งที่พระยารัษฏานุประดิษฐ์ มหิศรภักดี เป็นข้าหลวงปกครองมณฑลภูเก็ต ได้มีซินแสท่านหนึ่งกล่าวว่า ภูมิศาสตร์ และทำเลของ เกาะภูเก็ต มีลักษณะที่ตั้งเป็น “ฮ่ายเหล็ง หรือมังกรทะเล แห่งมหาสมุทรอินเดีย” ที่มีความเชื่อมาจาก ตำนานเจ้าสมุทรทั้งสี่ ที่ช่วยดูแลมหาสมุทรตามบัญชาสวรรค์ ตามตำนานเล่าอีกว่าฮ้ายเหล็งอ๋องจ้าวมังกรแห่งทะเลทิศตะวันออก เป็นองค์หนึ่งในพญามังกรสมุทรสี่องค์ ซึ่งเป็นพี่น้องกัน หยกอ๋องซ่งเต่ มหาราชแห่งเทพเจ้า ทรงโปรดให้พญามังกรทั้งสี่ เป็นผู้ดูแลท้องทะเล เป็นผู้กำกับเมฆและฝนให้ตกต้องตามฤดูกาล ตลอดจนบันดาลไม่ให้เกิดน้ำท่วมขึ้น ดังนั้นพิธีบวงสรวงจึงเป็นการสืบสานขนบธรรมเนียมอันดีงามของท้องถิ่นด้านการส่งเสริมและอนุรักษ์มรดกล้ำค่าของจังหวัดภูเก็ตให้คงอยู่ตลอดไป
