ภูเก็ตจัดพิธีบวงสรวงศาลหลักเมือง จ.ภูเก็ต (เมืองใหม่) เพื่อเสริมความเป็นสิริมงคล

เมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤศจิกายน 2558 เวลา 09.00 น. นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีบวงสรวงศาลหลักเมืองจังหวัดภูเก็ต (เมืองใหม่) โดยมี นายวัชรินทร์ ปฐมวัฒนพงศ์ ปลัดองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต ปฏิบัติหน้าที่นายก อบจ.ภูเก็ต นายประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต  ตลอดจนภาคส่วนราชการ และประชาชน เข้าร่วมพิธี ณ บริเวณศาลหลักเมืองจังหวัดภูเก็ต (เมืองใหม่) ตำบลเทพกระษัตรี อำเภอถลาง จังหวัดภูเก็ต

ศาลหลักเมือง ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านเมืองใหม่ ถนนเทพกระษัตรี ตำบลเทพกระษัตรี อำเภอถลาง จังหวัดภูเก็ต หลักกิโลเมตรที่ 24.5 สร้างในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 3 พ.ศ.2352 โดยพระยาถลาง (คิน) ชาวบ้านเชื่อกันว่าหากมีการเซ่นไหว้จะทำให้หลักเมืองแห่งนี้มีความขลัง มีอำนาจในการคุ้มครองบ้านเมืองให้อยู่เย็นเป็นสุข สำหรับเสาใหม่ที่เห็นในปัจจุบันเกิดจากการนำหลักใหม่ทับลงไปในหลุมเก่าเนื่องในโอกาสฉลอง 200 ปี วีรสตรีเมืองถลาง พ.ศ.2528 ดังนั้น เพื่อเป็นการบำรุงรักษาศิลปะ จารีตประเพณี และวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของท้องถิ่น จังหวัดพิจารณาเห็นว่าศาลหลักเมืองเมืองใหม่เป็นศาลหลักเมืองที่ความโดดเด่น มีทำเลที่ตั้งเหมาะสม สมควรให้มีการบูรณะปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์ศาลหลักเมืองบ้านเมืองใหม่ให้สวยงามเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย ยกฐานะให้เป็นศาลหลักเมืองประจำจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจให้ประชาชนชาวจังหวัดภูเก็ต รวมถึงนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนได้เคารพสักการะ และสร้างภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีของจังหวัด.
