เมื่อวันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน 2558  เวลา 09.00 น.  ที่ห้องประชุมโรงเรียนดาวรุ่งวิทยา นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เยี่ยมพบปะให้โอวาทคณะครู นักเรียน โรงเรียนดาวรุ่งวิทยา โดยมีบาทหลวงจีระศักดิ์ ยงบรรทม ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียนดาวรุ่งวิทยา นายเกรียงศักดิ์ สุขสมบูรณ์ นายกสมาคมศิษย์เก่าดาวรุ่งวิทยา นายรังสรรค์ ขันติอยู่ นายกสมาคมผู้ปกครองฯ คณะครู นักเรียน เข้าร่วม

นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา กล่าวให้โอวาทตอนหนึ่งว่า ในฐานที่ตนเองเคยเป็นศิษย์เก่าโรงเรียนดาวรุ่งวิทยาขอฝากให้น้อง ๆ นักเรียนเป็นคนดี มีความมุ่งมั่น ตั้งใจเรียนหนังสือ มีความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม ขณะที่ครู อาจารย์ อยากเห็นจิตวิญญาณความเป็นครูที่ถ่ายทอดความรู้อบรมสั่งสอนลูกศิษย์ ให้เป็นคนเก่ง คนดีของบ้านเมือง อย่างไรก็ตามในฐานะศิษย์ ไม่อยากเห็นลูกหลาน ไปเกี่ยวข้องกับยาเสพติดที่กำลังแพร่ระบาดในกลุ่มวัยรุ่น ครู ผู้ปกครองมีส่วนสำคัญที่จะช่วยให้เด็ก ๆ เหล่านี้ไม่มั่วสุมกับสิ่งเหล่านี้ อีกเรื่องที่ต้องฝากคือ ปัญหาอุบัติเหตุทางถนนจากรถจักรยานยนต์ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่สาเหตุมาจากไม่สวมหมวกกันน๊อค ขับขี่ด้วยความประมาท ซึ่งขณะนี้ทางจังหวัดได้ร่วมกับภาคเอกชนลงนาม MOU ขับขี่ปลอดภัย สวมหมวกกันน๊อค 100% และจะสานต่อมารณรงค์ตามสถานศึกษาต่าง ๆ ด้วย นอกจากนี้จะรณรงค์โครงการทำความดี 1 เดือน ต่อ 1 ครั้ง เช่น โครงการรณรงค์ทำความสะอาด โครงการปลูกต้นไม้ เพื่อให้จังหวัดภูเก็ตสวยงามมีการท่องเที่ยวที่ยั่งยืน
