เมื่อวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม  2558  เวลา 13.30 น. ที่ห้องประชุม POC ภูเก็ต นายสมเกียรติ สังข์ขาวสุทธิรักษ์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการบริหารด่านตรวจภูเก็ต โดยมี พ.ต.อ. สมชาย สรรประเสริฐ ผกก.สภ.ท่าฉัตรไชย นายขจรศักดิ์ แก้วจรัส นายแพทย์สาธารณสุขจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายวงศกร นุ่นชูคันธ์ โยธาธิการและผังเมืองจังหวัดภูเก็ต คณะกรรมการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

สำหรับวาระการประชุมที่สำคัญมีการพิจารณาการขอใช้พื้นที่บริหารด่านตรวจท่าฉัตรไชย ใช้เป็นศูนย์เรียนรู้เศรษฐกิจพอเพียงเฉลิมพระเกียรติจังหวัดภูเก็ตเนื้อที่จำนวน 7 ไร่ โดยเครือข่ายหมู่บ้านเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงจังหวัดภูเก็ตเป็นผู้ขอใช้สถานที่ โดยคระกรรมการฯ เห็นว่าขึ้นตอนการขอใช้พื้นที่ยังไม่ถูกต้องตามขั้นตอนจึงไม่อนุมัติ ส่วนการพิจารณาการปรับปรุงติดตั้ง การซ่อมบำรุงกล้อง CCTV บริเวณด่านท่าฉัตรไชย จำนวน 30 ตัว ทาง ผกก.ท่าฉัตรไชยได้แจ้งต่อคณะกรรมการว่า กล้อง CCTV ได้มีการซ่อมบำรุง ใช้ได้ตามปกติแล้ว ขณะที่การพิจารณาซ่อมบำรุงด่านท่าฉัตรไชยที่ชำรุด ทางผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้อนุมัติงบพัฒนาจังหวัดปี 2558 จำนวน 2 ล้านบาท ในการซ่อมบำรุง ขณะนี้อยู่ในขั้นตอนระหว่างตรวจสอบราคา
