การจัดระเบียบรถยนต์สาธารณะ (แท็กซี่) โดยใช้ระบบ Grabtaxi แล้ว ยังได้มีการแจ้งให้ทราบสรุปผลการประชุมและมติ กรอ.กลาง การประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการจัดระบบจราจรทางบกจังหวัดภูเก็ต การดำเนินกิจกรรมภายใต้โครงการสุดยอดเอสเอ็มอีจังหวัดภูเก็ต

เมื่อวันที่ 6 กรกฎาคม 2558  เวลา 9.00 น. ที่ห้องประชุมอาคารศูนย์ประชุมกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามัน (OSM) ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชนเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจจังหวัดภูเก็ต (กรอ.จังหวัดภูเก็ต) ครั้งที่ 2/2558 เพื่อติดตามผลการดำเนินงานด้านการพัฒนาจังหวัดภูเก็ต รวมทั้งความคืบหน้าการแก้ปัญหาต่างๆ ที่มีการนำเสนอผ่านที่ประชุม โดยมีนายพัลลภ สิงหเสนี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล หัวหน้าสำนักงานจังหวัดภูเก็ต ตลอดจนหัวหน้าส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง ผู้นำองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น และภาคเอกชน อาทิ หอการค้าจังหวัดภูเก็ต สมาคมธุรกิจท่องเที่ยว จ.ภูเก็ต สมาคมธุรกิจอสังหาริมทรัพย์ภูเก็ต สภาอุตสาหกรรมจังหวัดภูเก็ต เข้าร่วม

การติดตามเรื่องสืบเนื่องจากการประชุมที่ผ่านมา ได้แก่ การแต่งตั่งคณะทำงานจัดทำวิสัยทัศน์ภูเก็ต การแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการร่วมภาครัฐและเอกชนเพื่อแก้ปัญหาทางเศรษฐกิจจังหวัดภูเก็ต และการจัดระเบียบรถยนต์สาธารณะ (แท็กซี่) โดยใช้ระบบ Grabtaxi แล้ว ยังได้มีการแจ้งให้ทราบสรุปผลการประชุมและมติ กรอ.กลาง การประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการจัดระบบจราจรทางบกจังหวัดภูเก็ต การดำเนินกิจกรรมภายใต้โครงการสุดยอดเอสเอ็มอีจังหวัดภูเก็ต การจัดทำแผนท่องเที่ยวกลุ่มจังหวัดอันดามัน ความก้าวหน้าของการจัดทำวิสัยทัศน์ภูเก็ต 2020 และการขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์การท่องเที่ยวจังหวัดภูเก็ต เรื่องอัตราค่าจ้างขั้นต่ำของจังหวัดภูเก็ต การประชุมคณะกรรมการสนับสนุนการบริหารจัดการท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติภูเก็ต ตลอดจนความก้าวหน้าโครงการพัฒนาจังหวัดภูเก็ตที่สำคัญในปีงบประมาณ 2558-2559 ประกอบด้วย โครงการทางลอด/จุดกลับรถต่างระดับ ของแขวงการท่าจังหวัดภูเก็ต โครงการบริหารจัดการและซ่อมบำรุงเตาเผาขยะของศูนย์กำจัดขยะมูลฝอยจังหวัดภูเก็ต โครงการแก้ปัญหาน้ำเสียในเขตเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต และการจัดสร้างโรงพยาบาลฉลอง อย่างไรก็ตามประเด็นความคืบหน้าการจัดระเบียบรถยนต์สาธารณะ (แท็กซี่) โดยใช้ระบบแกร็บแท็กซี่ (Grabtaxi) ซึ่งสำนักงานขนส่งจังหวัดภูเก็ตแจ้งว่า ได้จัดทำโครงการนำร่องแกร็บแท็กซี่ภูเก็ต ซึ่งเป็นการนำระบบแอพพิเคชั่นมาใช้ในการให้บริการรับส่งผู้โดยสาร โดยได้มีการเปิดรับสมัครรถแท็กซี่มิเตอร์ที่ให้บริการอยู่แล้วเข้าร่วมโครงการ ซึ่งเบื้องต้นมีผู้สมัครร่วมโครงการแล้วจำนวน 57 คัน
