จังหวัดภูเก็ตเปิดสัมมนา “ยกระดับโอท็อปด้วย วทน. (STI for OTOP Upgrade)”
เมื่อวันที่ 16 พฤษภาคม  2559  ที่ศูนย์ประชุมคณะวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี 1 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต นางสาวเสาวณี มุสิแดง ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงวิทยา ศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการสัมมนา “ยกระดับโอท็อปด้วย วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม หรือ วทน. (STI for OTOP Upgrade) จังหวัดภูเก็ต” โดยมีนายประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายศรันยู เสมาหัวหน้าสำนักงานจังหวัดภูเก็ต และผู้ประกอบการผลิตภัณฑ์โอท็อป ในพื้นที่จังหวัดภูเก็ต เข้าร่วม

นางสาวเสาวณี มุสิแดง กล่าวว่า กระทรวงวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี โดยสถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญในการนำวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีไปใช้ เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพของสินค้าและบริการของผู้ประกอบการกลุ่ม OTOP ส่งเสริมและพัฒนาให้ผู้ประกอบการ OTOP มีแนวทางในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ใน ด้านต่างๆ ให้มีคุณภาพจนสามารถเพิ่มผลผลิต รายได้ ยกระดับคุณภาพของสินค้าด้วย วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม ให้พร้อมรองรับกับมาตรฐานใหม่ต่างๆ ที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต

สำหรับรูปแบบของงานสัมมนาเพื่อยกระดับโอทอปด้วย วทน. ประกอบด้วยการแนะนำคูปองวิทย์เพื่อ OTOP และการจับคู่ธุรกิจ วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรม เพื่อรับทราบปัญหาและความต้องการ ของผู้ประกอบการ โดยแบ่งเป็น 6 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ กลุ่มพัฒนานวัตกรรมผลิตภัณฑ์ พัฒนาและออกแบบบรรจุภัณฑ์ พัฒนาและออกแบบกระบวนการผลิต พัฒนาระบบรับรองมาตรฐาน พัฒนาและออกแบบเครื่องจักร พัฒนาคุณภาพวัตถุดิบต้นน้ำ โดยมีที่ปรึกษาด้านเทคโนโลยี โดยมีนักวิจัยจากสถาบันวิจัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศไทย.
