จังหวัดภูเก็ตประชุมโต๊ะข่าวยาเสพติดพบพืชกระท่อมยังระบาดเป็นอันดับ 1

เมื่อวันที่ 22 กรกฎาคม  2559 ที่ห้องประชุมศูนย์ปฏิบัติการจังหวัดภูเก็ต (ห้อง POC) นายโชคดี อมรวัฒน์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะทำงานประมวลผลและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเฝ้าระวังปัญหายาเสพติดและการข่าวด้านความมั่นคงจังหวัดภูเก็ต ครั้งที่ 8 ประจำปีงบประมาณ 2559 โดยมีส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

นายโชคดี อมรวัฒน์ กล่าวว่า ปัญหาการแพร่ระบาดของยาเสพติดในจังหวัดภูเก็ตยังคงมีอยู่อย่างต่อเนื่อง แม้เจ้าหน้าที่จากหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ได้ร่วมกันป้องกันและปราบปรามอย่างจริงจังตลอดมา ซึ่งจากสถิติการจับกุมพบว่าทางเจ้าหน้าที่ได้มีการจับกุมอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยยาเสพติดที่มีการจับกุมมากที่สุดได้แก่พืชกระท่อม รองลงมาคือยาไอซ์ กัญชา ยาม้า ตามลำดับ ในส่วนของการแพร่ระบาดมากที่สุดได้แก่ พืชกระท่อม

ทั้งนี้ได้สั่งการให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องได้มีการเฝ้าระวังและได้มีการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้เด็กและเยาวชนกลุ่มเสี่ยงได้รู้ถึงอันตรายจากยาเสพติด ซึ่งพบว่าผู้ที่เข้าไปเกี่ยวข้องกับยาเสพติดจะมีอายุระหว่าง 18-24 ปี รองลงมาเป็นกลุ่มอายุ 12-17 ปี จึงต้องมีการเฝ้าระวังป้องกันไม่ให้เยาวชนกลุ่มเสี่ยงเข้าไปยุ่งเกี่ยวกับยาเสพติด ส่วนพื้นที่ที่มีการแพร่ระบาดของยาเสพติดมากที่สุดได้แก่ พื้นที่อำเภอเมือง รองลงมาคืออำเภอกะทู้และ อำเภอถลาง ตามลำดับ
