PHUKET CAR FREE DAY 2016 ร่วมปั่นจักรยานในทุกวันศุกร์ เพื่อรณรงค์การลดใช้พลังงาน ลดปัญหาโลกร้อน

เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม  2559  เวลา 07.30 น.  บริเวณศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในโครงการรณรงค์กิจกรรม PHUKET CAR FREE DAY 2016 โดยมี ดร.ประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายวิโรจน์ ดำคง พลังงานจังหวัดภูเก็ต  นายวัชรินทร์ ปฐมวัฒนพงศ์ ปฏิบัติหน้าที่นายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต ผู้นำองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น กลุ่มนักปั่นจักรยาน หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง และประชาชนเข้าร่วม

โครงการ PHUKET CAR FREE DAY 2016 เป็นกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับการลดพลังงานจากการใช้รถยนต์ เพื่อลดภาวะโลกร้อน และการออกกำลังกายเพื่อสร้างสุขภาพ ซึ่งทางจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้ลงนามความร่วมมือกับส่วนกลาง ในการรณรงค์ เรื่องการลดภาวะโลกร้อน เพื่อเป็นต้นแบบในระดับภูมิภาค นอกจากนี้ยังมีโครงการลดพลังงานการใช้หลอดไฟประหยัดพลังงาน LED การใช้อุปกรณ์ไฟฟ้าอย่างคุ้มค่า ซึ่งจะมีการขยายโครงการไปสู่สถานศึกษา สถานประกอบการ หน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชน โดยมีพลังงานจังหวัดเป็นเจ้าภาพหลักในการดำเนินงานครั้งนี้
ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรม PHUKET CAR FREE DAY 2016 จะมีการร่วมกันปั่นจักรยานในทุกวันศุกร์ เพื่อช่วยลดการใช้พลังงาน ลดปัญหาการจราจร และสร้างความปลอดภัยบนท้องถนนให้แก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนจังหวัดภูเก็ต
