รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ตประชุมคณะทำงานรณรงค์การใช้เส้นทางสายรองเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการจราจรในจังหวัดภูเก็ต

ที่ห้องประชุมศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายโชคดี อมรวัฒน์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะทำงานรณรงค์การใช้เส้นทางสายรอง เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการจราจรในจังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยมีว่าที่ ร.ต. วิกรม จากที่ นายอำเภอถลาง นายสายัณห์ ชนะชัยวงศ์ นายอำเภอกะทู้ นายปฏิเวชวุฒิศักดิ์ สุขขี ผู้อำนวยการแขวงทางหลวงภูเก็ตและส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

นายโชคดี อมรวัฒน์ กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้ศึกษาออกแบบและวางแผนพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการคมนาคมขนส่งไว้หลายรูปแบบ ทั้งการก่อสร้างระบบขนส่งมวลชน รถไฟฟ้ารางเบา การก่อสร้างเส้นทางสายพิเศษ การก่อสร้างอุโมงค์ทางลอดและเตรียมที่จะมีการก่อสร้างจุดกลับรถบนถนนเทพกระษัตรี ซึ่งถือเป็นถนนสายหลักเพียงสายเดียวจังหวัดภูเก็ต ซึ่งขณะนี้บางโครงการกำลังก่อสร้าง บางโครงการอยู่ระหว่างการศึกษา เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการคมนาคมขนส่งโดยเฉพาะการแก้ไขปัญหาการจราจรติดขัดของเมืองเพื่อรองรับการพัฒนาและการเจริญเติบโตของเมือง ซึ่งนับวันจะส่งผลกระทบต่อจังหวัดภูเก็ต ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคมและการใช้ชีวิตประจำวันของประชาชน ดังนั้นเพื่อเป็นการรณรงค์ประชาสัมพันธ์เชิญชวนให้ประชาชน นักท่องเที่ยวหันมาใช้สายรองให้เกิดความแพร่หลาย เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้น เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงปัญหาการจราจร ทางจังหวัดจึงได้มีการตั้งคณะทำงานรณรงค์การใช้เส้นทางสายรอง โดยได้มีการกำหนดเส้นทางเบื้องต้นจำนวน 2 เส้นทางคือ เส้นทางสายรองด้านตะวันตกของเกาะ เส้นทางผ่านพื้นที่อ่าวป่าตอง อ่าวกมลา อ่าวสุรินทร์ อ่าวลากูน่า เชื่อมต่อตำบลสาคูและเส้นทางสายรองด้านตะวันออกของเกาะเลียบชายฝั่งตะวันออกอ้อมเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าเขาพระแทวบรรจบทางหลวงหมายเลข 402 บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์ท้าวเทพกระษัตรี ท้าวศรีสุนทร

ทั้งนี้ จังหวัดจะได้มีการหารือหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องเพื่อดำเนินการปรับปรุงถนนให้มีความปลอดภัยในทุก ๆ ด้านและจัดทำเอกสารแนะนำแก่ผู้ใช้รถ ตลอดจนการติดตั้งป้ายประชาสัมพันธ์เพื่อให้ประชาชนได้รับทราบต่อไป
