พบปัญหาราคาค่าโดยสารที่ท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติจังหวัดภูเก็ต ไม่เป็นไปตามที่คณะกรรมการกำหนด สร้างความไม่พอใจแก่นักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติ ที่ถูกมองว่าโดนผู้ประกอบการเอาเปรียบอย่างไม่เป็นธรรม

นาวาเอกพงศ์จักร์  อุไรมาลย์ ผู้บังคับการชุดจัดระเบียบรักษาความปลอดภัยการท่าอากาศยานภูเก็ต  ทัพเรือภาคที่ 3  พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง อาทิ  ขนส่งจังหวัดภูเก็ต  ตำรวจท่องเที่ยว  และตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต นำทีมผู้สื่อข่าว  ตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงกรณีปัญหาการร้องเรียนของนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติที่ถูกผู้ประกอบการรถโดยสารเอาเปรียบ เรียกค่าโดยสารในราคาที่สูงเกินกว่าที่คณะกรรมการของ จ.ภูเก็ต กำหนดราคาไว้ บริเวณด้านหน้าอาคารผู้โดยสาร ท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติจังหวัดภูเก็ต ซึ่งพบว่าราคาที่เค้าเตอร์เซอร์วิส กำหนดไว้สูงกว่าที่การท่าอากาศยานควบคุม ซึ่งมีนักท่องเที่ยวหลายรายเข้ามาร้องเรียน และแสดงความไม่พอใจ โดยที่ทุกฝ่ายพยายามอธิบาย และทำความเข้าใจกับนักท่องเที่ยว ทั้งนี้ ได้มีการขอเชิญผู้แทนการท่าอากาศยานนานาชาติจังหวัดภูเก็ต ให้มาชี้แจงทำความเข้าใจกับเจ้าหน้าที่และนักท่องเที่ยว ถึงราคาที่แตกต่างไปจากที่ จ.ภูเก็ต ไว้ แต่ก็ไม่มีผู้แทนของการท่าอากาศยานออกมาให้ความกระจ่างในเรื่องนี้ได้

ขณะที่พนักงานบริการประจำเคาเตอร์เซอวิส พยายามอธิบายว่าเป็นการคิดว่าเซอร์วิสชาร์จ สำหรับในส่วนของเคาเตอร์เซอร์วิส ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บริเวณการท่าอากาศยานภูเก็ต ก็พบว่าส่วนหนึ่งต้องชำระค่าเช่าพื้นที่ให้กับการท่าอากาศยานในราคาที่สูงมาก  ขณะที่เคาเตอร์แท็กซี่มิเตอร์ ซึ่งถูกกันออกมาด้านหน้าอาคารผู้โดยสาร ผู้ประกอบการระบุว่าการท่าอากาศยานภูเก็ตต้องจ่ายค่าจ้างพนักงานและอื่นๆ ให้ผู้ประกอบการเดือนละ 200,000 บาท โดยอ้างว่าเพื่อเป็นการจัดระเบียบ และอำนวยความสะดวกให้กับผู้โดยสาร และนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติ
