เมื่อวันที่ 9 ธันวาคม 2558 เวลา 15.00 น. ที่ห้องประชุม POC ภูเก็ต นายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมเตรียมความพร้อมการจัดกิจกรรมจักรยานเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ Bike for DAD ปั่นเพื่อพ่อ โดยมี พ.ต.อ. ศักดิ์ชัย ลิ้มเจริญ รองผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต พร้อมส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม
การประชุมที่สำคัญ มีการรายงานความพร้อมเส้นทางและการจัดขบวนจักรยาน การดูแลรักษาความปลอดภัย การรักษาพยาบาล การจัดกิจกรรมเฉลิมพระเกียรติบนเวที การจัดนักเรียนต้อนรับคณะปั่นตามเส้นทาง การเตรียมอาหาร เครื่องดื่มและการประชาสัมพันธ์เส้นทางการปั่นให้ประชาชนได้รับรู้
นายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี กล่าวว่า จากการประชุมขณะนี้ทุกฝ่ายได้เตรียมความพร้อมไว้ 100 % แล้ว โดยตลอด 2 เส้นทางการปั่นจะมีนักเรียน นักศึกษา ประชาชน โบกธงต้อนรับ ตลอด 2 ข้างทาง กว่า 1 หมื่นคน ซึ่งจะสร้างสีสันให้กับขบวนจักรยาน อย่างไรก็ตาม ทางจังหวัดขอความร่วมมือประชาชน นักท่องเที่ยว ถ้าไม่จำเป็นในเวลา 15.00 – 18.00 น. ต้องหลีกเลี่ยงเส้นทางที่ขบวนจักรยานผ่าน เนื่องจากจะมีการปิดถนน ซึ่งอาจจะไม่ได้รับความสะดวกเท่าที่ควร
