       วันนี้ (18 มีนาคม 2558) เวลา 09.00น. เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต โดยนายกวี  ตันสุคตานนท์         รองนายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยนายพงษ์สิงห์ ณ นคร ประธานสภาเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต สมาชิกสภาเทศบาล หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ พนักงานและลูกจ้างเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ร่วมพิธีถวายราชสักการะพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชการที่ ๕  เนื่องในวันท้องถิ่นไทย โดยมีนายนิสิต  จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีถวายราชสักการะและกล่าวถวายราชสดุดี เพื่อรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณแห่งพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงมีพระบรมราชโองการยกฐานะตำบลท่าฉลอม จังหวัดสมุทรสาคร ขึ้นเป็น “สุขาภิบาลท่าฉลอม” เมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๔๘ นับว่าเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นการกระจายอำนาจให้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น จนมีความเข้มแข็งสามารถเป็นกลไกพัฒนาประเทศได้อย่างยั่งยืนจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยมีหัวหน้าส่วนราชการจังหวัด ข้าราชการ สมาชิกสภาองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น พนักงาน ลูกจ้างส่วนท้องถิ่นจังหวัดภูเก็ตเข้าร่วมในพิธีอย่างพร้อมเพรียง
