ศาลเจ้าซุ่ยบุ่นต๋องประกอบพิธีลุยไฟ

เมื่อวันที่ 18 ตุลาคม 2558 เวลา 16.00 น. ที่ศาลเจ้าซุ่ยบุ่นต๋อง องค์พระผู้ประกอบพิธีพร้อมกับเหล่าม้าทรงได้เดินทางไปยังบริเวณด้านหลังของห้างแสงดำรง เพื่อทำพิธีก่อกองไฟ และในค่ำวันเดียวกันบรรดาเหล่าม้าทรง พี่เลี้ยงและผู้มีจิตศรัทธา ได้เดินทางไปยังบริเวณพิธีลุยไฟ

พิธีลุยไฟ หรือพิธีโก้ยโห้ย ในประเพณีถือศีลกินผัก กองไฟถือเป็นสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เหมือนกับการแสดงอิทธิฤทธิ์ที่บังคับไฟไม่ให้ร้อน เพื่อแสดงถึงความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ขององค์เทพเจ้า โดยเชื่อกันว่าไฟที่นำมาก่อไว้นั้นเป็นไฟทิพย์สามารถชำระล้างความสกปรกของร่างกายให้บริสุทธิ์ได้ และผู้ที่จะทำการลุยไฟคือผู้ที่ทำหน้าที่เป็นม้าทรงในริ้วขบวนแห่ และไม่จำกัดเฉพาะผู้ที่ทำหน้าที่ม้าทรงเท่านั้นใครที่มีความศรัทธาแรงกล้า เชื่อมั่นในร่างกายและได้รับอนุญาติจากองค์พระก่อนก็สามารถเข้าร่วมพิธีลุยไฟนี้ได้

ในแต่ละปีที่แต่ละศาลเจ้าในจังหวัดภูเก็ต มีการจัดพิธีลุยไฟขึ้น มักจะได้รับความสนใจจากนักท่องเที่ยวและประชาชนในพื้นที่ เข้าไปร่วมพิธีจำนวนมาก นับเป็นอีกพิธีกรรมที่น่าจดจำในเทศกาลถือศีลกินผักของภูเก็ต
