เมื่อวันนี้ 13 พฤศจิกายน 2558  เวลา 13.30 น. ที่ห้องรับรอง ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นางสุกัญญา เมฆวิไล นายกสมาคมเบเกอรี่ (ประเทศไทย) พร้อมด้วย นายภชภณ ชนะปราชญ์ ประธานสมาคมเชฟภูเก็ต และคณะ ได้เข้าพบนายจําเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เพื่อหารือแนวทางการจัดทำคัพเค้กเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เนื่องในวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 88 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2558 ที่จะจัดขึ้น ณ เวทีกลางสะพานหิน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต

นางสุกัญญา เมฆวิไล กล่าวว่า สมาคมเบเกอรี่ (ประเทศไทย) ได้ร่วมกับสมาคมเชฟภูเก็ต เพื่อร่วมกันจัดทำคัพเค้กเฉลิมพระเกียรติจากเชฟโรงแรมจำนวน 50 แห่งภายในจังหวัดภูเก็ต เพื่อจัดทำคัพเค้ก จำนวน 9,999 ชิ้น สำหรับพิธีจุดเทียนชัยถวายพระพรชัยมงคล เพื่อแสดงพลังความจงรักภักดี และสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่ทรงมีต่อพสกนิกรทุกหมู่เหล่าโดยมีรูปแบบของคัพเค้กนั้นจะเป็นรูปธงชาติไทย และคัพเค้กในโทนสีเหลือง ทั้งนี้หลังจากเสร็จพิธี จะบริจาคคัพเค้กดังกล่าวให้แก่สถานสงเคราะห์และแจกจ่ายให้กับประชาชนที่เข้ามาร่วมพิธี
