รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาเปิดโครงการ “สร้างความเชื่อมั่นด้านการรักษาความปลอดภัย อำนวยความสะดวก และให้บริการแก่นักท่องเที่ยว เพื่อเสริมสร้างการท่องเที่ยวด้านความปลอดภัยแก่นักท่องเที่ยว อย่างยั่งยืน” ที่จังหวัดภูเก็ต

เมื่อวันที่ 10 กันยายน  2559  ที่โรงแรมดวงจิตต์ รีสอร์ทแอนด์สปา อำเภอกะทู้ จังหวัดภูเก็ต นางกอบกาญจน์ วัฒนวรางกูร รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดโครงการ “สร้างความเชื่อมั่นด้านการรักษาความปลอดภัย อำนวยความสะดวก และให้บริการแก่นักท่องเที่ยว เพื่อเสริมสร้างการท่องเที่ยวด้านความปลอดภัยแก่นักท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืน” โดยมีพลตำรวจตรีสุรเชษฐ์ หักพาล ผู้บังคับการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการตำรวจและอาสาสมัครตำรวจท่องเที่ยวกว่า 1000 คนเข้าร่วม

นางกอบกาญจน์ วัฒนวรางกูร กล่าวว่า โครงการดังกล่าวเป็น โครงการภายใต้กิจกรรม สร้างความเชื่อมั่นการท่องเที่ยวด้านความปลอดภัย ตามนโยบายด้านการท่องเที่ยวที่มุ่งเน้นการสร้างภาพลักษณ์การท่องเที่ยวประเทศไทย สู่ความมั่นคงมั่นคั่งและยั่งยืน โดยการทำให้ประเทศไทยเป็น Quality Leisure Destination และการมุ่งเน้นทำงานเชิงรุก ตลอดจนให้ภาคเอกชนและอาสาสมัครเข้ามามีบทบาทหรือมีส่วนร่วมในการเป็นเจ้าภาพที่ดี เพื่อเป็นแนวร่วมภาคประชาชน และร่วมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นกับนักท่องเที่ยวชาวต่างชาติให้มีประสิทธิภาพมากยิ่งขึ้น

นอกจากนี้ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬายังได้กล่าวปาฐกถาพิเศษ แก่ข้าราชการตำรวจและอาสาสมัคร และในช่วงเย็นวันนี้จะมีการปล่อยแถวเดินขบวนสร้างความเชื่อมั่นแก่นักท่องเที่ยวบริเวณป้อมตำรวจบางลา ตำบลป่าตอง อำเภอกะทู้ จังหวัดภูเก็ตอีกด้วย

    Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found
    a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
    put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
    She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
