                ผศ.ดร. ดรุณี บุญอุดมศาสตร์ รองอธิการบดี เปิดเผยว่า “มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต เป็นเจ้าภาพการลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ MOU สร้างเครือข่ายงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ 5 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภาคใต้ มีตัวแทนลงนาม ประกอบไปด้วย นายอนิรุธ ชุมสวัสดิ์ (มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏนครศรีฯ), ดร.วัฒนา รัตนพรหม (มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสุราษฎร์ฯ), ผศ.ดร.สมบัติ โยธาธิพย์ (มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏยะลา) และ ดร. ภวิภา บุณยพิพัฒน์ (มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏสงขลา) โดยการลงนามครั้งนี้เพื่อเป็นการรวมศักยภาพทางวิชาการ และระดมบุคลากรที่มีความรู้ ความสามารถ ในสายงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์และการดำเนินโครงการที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการศึกษา รวมถึงสร้างเครือข่ายแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา-อาจารย์ ระหว่างประเทศต่างๆ ในอาเซียน เช่น มาเลเซีย, สิงคโปร์, บรูไน และฟิลิปปินส์ และเพื่อเปิดโอกาสได้เรียนรู้เขา รู้เรา เตรียมความพร้อมสู่การเปิดเสรีประชาคมอาเซียน รวมถึงร่วมประเมินนโยบายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ที่ ม.ราชภัฏภาคใต้ทั้ง 5 แห่ง ได้ดำเนินการไปแล้ว ว่ามีความก้าวหน้าไปถึงระดับใด และควรจะปรับปรุงในประเด็นอะไรบ้าง

                พร้อมกันนี้มีการจัดบรรยายทางวิชาการหัวข้อ “บทบาทงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ในบริบทประชาคมอาเซียน” โดยวิทยากรผู้มากประสบการณ์ด้านการศึกษาและการต่างประเทศ คุณพรทิพย์ กาญจนนิยต ผู้บริหารมูลนิธิการศึกษาไทย – อเมริกัน (ฟุลไบรท์) ซึ่งวิทยากรได้แนะนำเกี่ยวกับการเตรียมความพร้อมหลายๆ ด้าน เช่น ผู้ปฏิบัติงานในการประสานงานกับบุคลากรและองค์กรระหว่างประเทศ ต้องสื่อสาร รู้ เข้าใจวัฒนธรรม อุปนิสัยของประเทศนั้นๆ   ซึ่งเริ่มได้จากการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อการเรียนรู้ ใช้สื่อการสอนที่ทันสมัย เข้าใจง่าย พร้อมส่งนักศึกษาเดินทางไปเรียนรู้ของจริงที่ต่างประเทศ เพื่อให้นักวิเทศสัมพันธ์รุ่นใหม่รู้ลึก รู้จริง เรื่องอาเซียน เหล่านี้สามารถพัฒนาเป็นเซียนผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านอาเซียน ก็จะเป็นนักวิเทศสัมพันธ์อันเป็นที่ต้องการของตลาดงานในอนาคต
