เมื่อวันที่ 24 พฤษภาคม  2559  เวลา 14.00 น.  ที่บริเวณอาคารมูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต จำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีเทกระจาด มอบอาหารแก้ผู้ยากไร้ในภูเก็ต ฉลองวันเกิดเทพเจ้าโป๊ยจุนเซี้ยฮุก ประจำปี 2559 โดยมี นางเบญจวรรณ ตัมพานุวัตร ประธานมูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ต คณะกรรมการมูลนิธิ พ.ต.อ.วิทูรย์ กองสุดใจ รองผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ร่วมกันแจกทานแก่ผู้ยากไร้ที่มารอรับการแจกทานรวมกว่า 1,500 คน

งานเริ่มจากการจัดพิธีเซ่นไหว้ดวงวิญญาณของบรรพบุรุษที่ล่วงลับ และพิธีเทกระจาดตามประเพณี โดยการแจกข้าวสาร และเครื่องบริโภคให้แก่ผู้ยากไร้ โดยการเทกระจาดในครั้งนี้มีประชาชน และเด็กๆ ที่มารอรับข้าวสาร และเครื่องบริโภค จำนวน 1,500 คน ทางเจ้าหน้าที่มูลนิธิกุศลธรรมภูเก็ตจึงต้องช่วยกันดูแลความเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย ทั้งนี้ การทำพิธีเทกระจาดจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปี เนื่องในพิธีสักการะ และฉลองวันเกิดเทพเจ้าโป๊ยจุนเซี้ยฮุก ประจำปี 2559
