เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ร่วมกับสมาคมเพอรานากัน กำหนดจัดเทศน์มหาชาติเฉลิมพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เนื่องในวโรกาสทรงเจริญพระชนมายุ 5 รอบ และให้พสกนิกรที่มาร่วมงานพิธีได้ร่วมฟังธรรมและรับผลบุญเป็นสิริมงคลแก่ชีวิต

รายได้หลังหักค่าใช้จ่ายจะนำไปสมทบทุนจัดสร้าง “พิพิธภัณฑ์บาบ๋าเมืองภูเก็ตเฉลิมพระเกียรติสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี” ในวันเสาร์ ที่7 กุมภาพันธ์ 2558 (ตรงกับวันแรม 4 ค่ำ เดือน 3) ณ ลานเอนกประสงค์    ถนนหลวงพ่อ (ตลาดท้ายรถเก่า) โดยมีกำหนดการดังนี้

เวลา 16.00 น. ตั้งพุ่มกัณฑ์เทศน์

เวลา 17.00 น. เริ่มพิธีเทศน์มหาชาติ 13 กัณฑ์ โดยพระครูพิพิธธรรมภาณ ผู้ช่วยเจ้าอาวาสวัดประยูรวงศาวาสวรวิหาร และพระอาจารย์อาทิตย์ กิตติโสภโณ วัดบางบัว เขตบางเขน กทม.  สำหรับการเทศน์ครั้งนี้เป็นการเทศน์แบบทรงเครื่อง จะมีดนตรีประกอบจากทีมดนตรีไทยของคณะครู – นักเรียน โรงเรียนในสังกัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต จะมีการแหล่และการแสดงของนักเรียนโรงเรียนเทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ต
