โครงการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีแก่ผู้สูงอายุประจำปี 2558 ภายใต้กิจกรรม “ธรรมะสร้างสุข”

เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2558 เวลา 13.00 น. เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต โดยนางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต ได้เปิดโครงการส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีแก่ผู้สูงอายุประจำปี 2558 ภายใต้กิจกรรม “ธรรมะสร้างสุข” พร้อมด้วย นายกวี ตันสุคตานนท์ รองนายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต นางสาวชุติมา สนิทเปรม รองปลัดเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และพนักงานเทศบาล ณ ศูนย์พัฒนาจิตเฉลิมพระเกียรติปฏินิสสัคโค ตำบลกะรน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยเทศบาลนครภูเก็ตได้นิมนต์พระมหาสมปอง ตาละปุตโต หัวหน้าคณะทีมงานธรรมะเดลิเวอรี่ คุณฉวีวรรณ แสงสว่างและทีมงานจากศูนย์พัฒนาจิตเฉลิมพระเกียรติปฏินิสสัคโคเป็นวิทยากรในการอบรมครั้งนี้ โดยมีสมาชิกสมาคมผู้สูงอายุเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนเขตเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต สมาชิกชมรมต่างๆ บุคลากรทุกสำนัก/กอง ของเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต และประชาชนทั่วไปให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมในการอบรมจำนวนมาก

นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันสังคมไทยก้าวเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุ ประกอบกับสถานการณ์เปลี่ยนแปลงของบ้านเมือง ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงในด้านเศรษฐกิจ สังคม คุณภาพชีวิต ฯลฯ และปัญหาที่สำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งคือปัญหาผู้สูงอายุถูกทอดทิ้งหรือถูกปล่อยให้อยู่บ้านคนเดียวเพียงลำพัง อันเนื่องมาจากลูกหลานต้องออกไปทำงานหาเงินมาเลี้ยงครอบครัว ไม่มีเวลาดูแลผู้สูงอายุอย่างใกล้ชิดเท่าที่ควร ส่งผลให้ผู้สูงอายุเกิดความเครียด เหงา ซึมเศร้า หรือแม้แต่รู้สึกว่าตัวเองไม่ปลอดภัยในชีวิตประจำวันที่ต้องอยู่บ้านเพียงลำพัง สุขภาวะทางจิตลดน้อยถอยลง เพื่อเป็นการลดผลกระทบดังกล่าวที่เกิดขึ้นกับผู้สูงอายุ

เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต จึงมอบหมายให้กองสวัสดิการสังคม จัดทำโครงการส่งเสริมสุขภาพชีวิตที่ดีแก่ผู้สูงอายุ ภายใต้กิจกรรม “ธรรมะสร้างสุข” ขึ้น เพื่อนำเอาหลักธรรมะมาใช้เป็นเครื่องมือในการดำเนินชีวิตและเป็นการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์ อันจะส่งผลดีทั้งทางด้านร่างกายและจิตใจ ตลอดจนนำความรู้ที่ได้เผยแพร่แก่ผู้อื่น และเพื่อเป็นการบูรณาการระหว่างองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นกับหน่วยงานหรือองค์กรภายนอก คณะดำเนินงานจึงได้เลือก “ศูนย์พัฒนาจิตเฉลิมพระเกียรติปฏินิสสัคโค” เป็นสถานที่จัดอบรมในครั้งนี้ เนื่องจากสามารถรองรับผู้เข้ารับการอบรมได้เป็นจำนวนมาก ประกอบกับมีความพร้อมในการจัดเตรียมสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ ที่ใช้ในการจัดการอบรมในครั้งนี้ได้อย่างครบครัน

ดิฉันหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าผู้เข้ารับการอบรมทุกท่านจะสามารถนำองค์ความรู้ที่ได้รับไปปรับใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน และทำให้ผู้สูงอายุมีสุขภาพจิตที่ดี อารมณ์แจ่มใส มีธรรมะเป็นเครื่องยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจในการดำรงชีวิตกับสังคมในปัจจุบัน เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้สูงอายุให้มีความเหมาะสม สอดคล้องกับบริบทความเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคม รวมถึงเป็นการสร้างกระบวนการการมีส่วนร่วมจากบ้าน วัด โรงเรียน ชุมชน และหน่วยงานที่เกียวข้องในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนา
