เมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2558 เวลา 08.30 น. นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร สมาชิกสภาเทศบาล หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ร่วมพิธีลงนามถวายพระพรชัยมงคล และลงนามถวายพระพรพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เนื่องในโอกาส มหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 88 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2558 โดยมีนายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการพลเรือน ข้าราชการตุลาการ อัยการ ทหาร ตำรวจ ผู้บริหาร ข้าราชการองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น องค์กรเอกชน ประชาชนจังหวัดภูเก็ตทุกหมู่เหล่า ร่วมกันลงนามถวายพระพรชัยมงคล และถวายราชสดุดีเฉลิมพระเกียรติหน้าพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ขอพระองค์ทรงพระเจริญยิ่งยืนนาน และร่วมกันถวายสัตย์ปฏิญาณตนเป็นพลังของแผ่นดินและเป็นข้าราชการที่ดีใน พระองค์ตลอดไป  และหลังจากนั้น ได้ร่วมรับเสื้อและเข็มกลัดพระราชทาน กิจกรรม Bike for Dad “ปั่นเพื่อพ่อ” ณ ศูนย์ประชุมมหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต
