เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ขอเชิญชวนนักเรียน นักศึกษา ประชาชนและผู้ที่สนใจเข้าร่วมประกวดการตั้งชื่อถนนสายหลักทางด้านใต้ (PH-RB-3A) เป็นถนนที่เชื่อมต่อระหว่างถนนรัตนโกสินทร์ 200ปี กับถนนศักดิเดช ภายใต้แนวคิดการตั้งชื่อที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะท้องถิ่น หรือเกี่ยวกับประเพณี วัฒนธรรม ชิงรางวัลเงิน 20,000 -บาท พร้อมใบประกาศเกียรติคุณ เริ่มรับสมัคร 15ธันวาคม 2558 ถึงวันที่15 มกราคม 2559

นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต เปิดเผยว่า โครงการก่อสร้างถนนยกระดับถนนสายหลักทางด้านใต้ (PH-RB-3A) เป็นโครงการต่อเนื่องมาจากโครงการพัฒนาเมืองหลัก รอบที่ 2 ระยะแรก ของกระทรวงมหาดไทย ซึ่งเป็นถนนที่เชื่อมโยงพื้นที่ด้านใต้ของเมือง จากทางหลวงหมายเลข 4023 เข้าสู่ทางหลวงหมายเลข 402 โดยตรง

ในการก่อสร้างถนนสายดังกล่าว กระทรวงมหาดไทย โดยเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ได้รับอนุญาตจาก กรมป่าไม้ให้เข้าใช้ประโยชน์พื้นที่ภายในเขตป่าสงวนแห่งชาติ ป่าเลนคลองเกาะผี ตำบลวิชิต อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต เนื้อที่ 14 ไร่ 2 งาน 80 ตารางวา เพื่อก่อสร้างถนนสายหลักทางด้านใต้ ส่วนยกระดับ ระยะทางประมาณ 600 เมตร (PH-RB-3A) เพื่อช่วยคลี่คลายสภาพปัญหาการจราจรในตัวเมืองภูเก็ต และเพื่อให้เกิดความสะดวก คล่องตัวในการเดินทางของประชาชน อีกทั้งยังเป็นถนนสายหลักในการเชื่อมต่อถนนสายต่าง ๆ ที่เดินทางไปยังแหล่งท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัดภูเก็ต

งบประมาณในการก่อสร้างได้รับการจัดสรรจาก กรมทางหลวงชนบท เป็นเงินทั้งสิ้น 176,300,000. บาท (หนึ่งร้อยเจ็ดสิบหกล้านสามแสนบาทถ้วน) โดยกรมทางหลวงได้ว่าจ้างบริษัท รัชตินทร์ จำกัด ระยะเวลาในการก่อสร้าง 720 วัน เริ่มดำเนินงานเมื่อวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม 2556 กำหนดแล้วเสร็จภายในวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม 2558 ซึ่งในขณะนี้งานก่อสร้างคืบหน้า 81.13 % และคาดว่าจะแล้วเสร็จเดือนมกราคม 2559

นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต กล่าวว่า เพื่อให้ถนน – สะพาน บริเวณสายหลักทางด้านใต้(PH-RB-3A) มีชื่อเรียกอย่างเป็นทางการ เทศบาลฯ จึงได้จัดให้มีการประกวดตั้งชื่อถนน – สะพานขึ้น โดยประกาศรับสมัคร ระหว่างวันที่ 15 ธันวาคม 2558  ถึงวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2559 โดยได้กำหนดหลักเกณฑ์การเข้าประกวด ดังนี้

  1. การส่งชื่อเข้าประกวดต้องเป็นชื่อที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะท้องถิ่น หรือเกี่ยวกับประเพณี วัฒนธรรม เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับท้องถิ่น
  2. ชื่อถนนและสะพาน จะต้องมีความหมาย

สำหรับคุณสมบัติของผู้ที่จะเข้าร่วมส่งชื่อเข้าประกวดนั้น เป็นนักเรียน นักศึกษา และประชาชนทั่วไป ส่วนเกณฑ์การตัดสิน 100 คะแนน จะแบ่งออกเป็น

  1. มีหลักการ 40 คะแนน
  2. มีความหมาย 40 คะแนน
  3. มีชื่อสอดคล้องกับท้องถิ่น 20 คะแนน

เทศบาลนครภูเก็ตจะประกาศผลการตัดสิน ในวันที่ 25 มกราคม 2559 อนึ่ง หากมีชื่อซ้ำกันหลายคน จะนำเงินรางวัลแบ่งให้เท่า ๆ กัน พร้อมใบประกาศเกียรติคุณ ผู้สนใจสามารถสอบถามรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ที่ สำนักการช่าง เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต โทร 076-212-314 ในวันและเวลาราชการ
