จังหวัดภูเก็ตสั่งเฝ้าระวังการแพร่ระบาดของยาเสพติด หลังพบมีการแพร่ระบาดมากขึ้นในกลุ่มเยาวชน

เมื่อวันที่ 21 มิถุนายน  2559  ห้องประชุมศูนย์ปฏิบัติการจังหวัดภูเก็ต (ห้อง POC) นายโชคดี อมรวัฒน์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะทำงานประมวลผลและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเฝ้าระวังปัญหายาเสพติดและการข่าวด้านความมั่นคงจังหวัดภูเก็ต ครั้งที่ 7 ประจำปีงบประมาณ 2559 โดยมีส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม
นายโชคดี กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันการแพร่ระบาดของยาเสพติดในจังหวัดภูเก็ตยังคงมีการแพร่ระบาดอยู่อย่างต่อเนื่อง แม้หน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องได้มีการป้องกันและปราบปรามมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ทั้งในเรื่องของการบำบัดรักษาของผู้ที่เสพยาเสพติด ซึ่งทางจังหวัดได้มีการจัดตั้งค่ายศูนย์ขวัญแผ่นดิน โดยได้ร่วมกับองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นและส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้มีการตั้งจุดตรวจและเพื่อค้นหาผู้เสพในทุกพื้นที่ของจังหวัดภูเก็ตเพื่อมาเข้าทำการบำบัดรักษา ซึ่งได้มีการดำเนินการมาอย่างต่อเนื่องแต่การแพร่ระบาดก็ยังไม่หมดไป

ทั้งนี้ ปัจจุบันพบว่า ยาเสพติดที่มีการแพร่ระบาดมากที่สุดได้แก่ พืชกระท่อม รองลงมาคือยาบ้าและยาไอซ์ตามลำดับ ซึ่งช่วงอายุที่เกี่ยวข้องกับยาเสพติดก็มีอายุลดลงเป็นกลุ่มเยาวชนเป็นส่วนมาก ซึ่งทางจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้สั่งการให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องได้มีการกวดขัน เพื่อให้การแพร่ระบาดของยาเสพติดลดลงต่อไป

I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
