เมื่อวันที่ 17 กันยายน  2559 เวลา 19.00 น. นางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณศุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดงานปุ๊นเต่สังสรรค์ ครั้งที่ 8 ในชื่อตอนว่า เมืองแห่งอาหาร พัฒนาการของชีวิต โดยมีนายวุฒิชัย แซ่ก่ำ ที่ปรึกษานายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ต นางสาวอโมนา วงษ์ใหญ่ ผู้อำนวยการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย จังหวัดภูเก็ต นางสุชาดา จันทร์ชูวนิชกุล ประธานมูลนิธิเมืองเก่าภูเก็ต สมาชิกสภาเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ตลอดจนแขกผู้เกียรติเข้าร่วมงานในครั้งนี้ ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์ภูเก็ตไทยหัว
