สำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) เปิดเวทีเจรจาธุรกิจไมซ์ งานไทยแลนด์ไมซ์มาร์ท ครั้งที่ 2 ภายใต้แนวคิด ประชุมเมืองไทย ภูมิใจช่วยชาติ  ที่จังหวัดภูเก็ต

เมื่อวันที่ 23 กรกฎาคม 2558   เวลา 14.00 น. ที่โรงแรมอินดิโก เพิร์ล อ.ถลาง จ.ภูเก็ต นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์  ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดงาน “ไทยแลนด์ไมซ์มาร์ท ครั้งที่ 2 ณ จังหวัดภูเก็ต” ภายใต้แนวคิด “ประชุมเมืองไทย ภูมิใจช่วยชาติ” ชูจุดขายจังหวัด “เมืองไมซ์อินเซนทีฟแห่งอันดามัน” ซึ่งทางสำนักงานส่งเสริมการจัดประชุมและนิทรรศการ (องค์การมหาชน) หรือทีเส็บ จัดขึ้น  โดยเป็นกิจกรรมส่งเสริมการขาย เพื่อให้เกิดการจัดงานไมซ์โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มประชุม-อินเซนทีฟ ภายใต้การดำเนินงานโครงการประชุมเมืองไทย ภูมิใจช่วยชาติ โดยเปิดเวทีเจรจาธุรกิจระหว่างกลุ่มผู้ซื้อ เป้าหมายจากองค์กรในกรุงเทพ 30 ราย และองค์กรในท้องถิ่น 60 ราย กลุ่มผู้ขายซึ่งมีทั้งโรงแรม สถานที่จัดประชุม แหล่งท่องเที่ยว บริษัทรับจัดงานเชิงธุรกิจ และผู้ให้บริการด้านไมซ์ที่เกี่ยวข้องรวม 34 ราย ทั้งนี้คาดการณ์ว่าภายในงานจะก่อให้เกิดการซื้อขายประมาณ 18 ล้านบาท

นางศุภวรรณ ตีระรัตน์ รองผู้อำนวยการ สายงานกลยุทธและพัฒนาธุรกิจ ทีเส็บ กล่าวว่า ภูเก็ตเป็นเมืองไมซ์ซิตี้ที่ได้รับความนิยมจากนักเดินทางกลุ่มไมซ์ โดยในครึ่งปีงบประมาณ 2558 (ตุลาคม 2557 -มีนาคม 2558) มีนักเดินทางกลุ่มไมซ์ภายในประเทศที่เดินทางเข้าสู่จังหวัดภูเก็ต จำนวน 73,570 คน คิดเป็นรายได้ 573.42 ล้านบาท ซึ่งกลุ่มท่องเที่ยวเพื่อเป็นรางวัล หรืออินเซนทีฟ มีสัดส่วนสูงถึงประมาณ 46.37 % ของตลาดไมซ์ภูเก็ตทั้งหมด คิดเป็นจำนวน 34,112 คน สร้างรายได้ 469.85 ล้านบาท รองลงมา คือ กลุ่มประชุมนานาชาติ กลุ่มงานแสดงสินค้า และกลุ่มประชุมองค์กร
