จังหวัดภูเก็ตเร่งผลักดันระบบขนส่งมวลชนเส้นทางสนามบิน – ห้าแยกฉลองเพื่อช่วยแก้ปัญหาการจราจร

เมื่อวันที่ 25 กรกฎาคม  2559  ที่ห้องประชุมคอซิมบี้ ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการจัดระเบียบจราจรทางบกจังหวัดภูเก็ตครั้งที่ 2/2559 โดยมีนายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายปฏิเวชวุฒิศักดิ์ สุขขี ผู้อำนวยการแขวงทางหลวงภูเก็ตและส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง เข้าร่วม

ตัวแทนของสำนักงานนโยบายและแผนการขนส่งและจราจรได้ชี้แจงถึงแนวทางการออกแบบรายละเอียดเส้นทางของระบบขนส่งมวลชนจังหวัดภูเก็ต (รถไฟฟ้ารางเบา) ที่ทาง สนข. ได้มีการออกแบบและได้มีการปรับแบบเพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาการใช้พื้นที่ของหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นพื้นที่รับผิดชอบของท่าอากาศยานภูเก็ต กรมทางหลวงชนบท กรมทางหลวงและพื้นที่ถนนในความรับผิดชอบของเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้มีผลกระทบต่อประชาชนน้อยที่สุด โดยเฉพาะในด้านความปลอดภัย ซึ่งขณะนี้อยู่ในช่วงของการปรับแบบเนื่องจากมีการก่อสร้างต่าง ๆ บนถนนเทพกระษัตรี เพื่อให้มีความเหมาะสมกับโครงการของกรมทางหลวงที่มีการก่อสร้างอุโมงค์ทางลอดและจุดกลับรถบนถนนดังกล่าว ในส่วนของจุดอื่น ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นบริเวณหน้าสนามบิน จุดสะพานคลองเกาะผีและในเขตถนนของเทศบาลนครภูเก็ต ก็ได้มีการปรับแบบให้มีความเหมาะสมเพื่อให้การก่อสร้างมีความสมบูรณ์มากที่สุด หลังจากมีการปรับแบบการก่อสร้างเรียบร้อยแล้วก็จะมีการนำแผนของโครงการดังกล่าวไปบรรจุในปีงบประมาณ 2560 เพื่อที่จะมีการดำเนินการผลักดันในส่วนของงบประมาณในการก่อสร้างต่อไป
