ภูเก็ตประชุมเตรียมความพร้อมการจัดแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลอเมเจอร์นานาชาติรายการไทยแลนด์ บีช วอลเลย์ เฟสติวัล ภูเก็ต พาวเวอร์บาย พีทีที เพื่อส่ง เสริมการท่องเที่ยวของจังหวัด

เมื่อวันที่ 8 มีนาคม 2559 ที่ ห้องประชุมท้องถิ่นจังหวัดภูเก็ต ดร.ประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุม การจัดการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลชายหาด อเมเจอร์นานาชาติรายการ “ไทยแลนด์ บีช วอลเลย์ เฟสติวัล ภูเก็ต พาวเวอร์บาย พีทีที” โดยมี พ.ต.อ ทัศนัย โอฬาริกเดช ผู้กำกับฝ่ายอำนวยการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายอุทิศ ลิ่มสกุล ผู้ช่วยผู้อำนวยการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานภูเก็ต นายอิทธิพร สังข์แก้ว รองนายกเทศมนตรีตำบลกะรน นายกฤษฎา โออิน ผู้แทนจากสำนักงานท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต และส่วนราชการและภาคเอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

ดร.ประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล กล่าวว่า จังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยสำนักงานการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต เทศบาลตำบลกะรน ร่วมกับ บริษัท เพนแทงเกิลโปรโทชั่น จำกัด บริษัท ปตท. จำกัด(มหาชน) ได้ดำเนินการจัดการแข่งขันวอลเลย์บอลชายหาดอเมเจอร์นานาชาติรายการ “ไทยแลนด์ บีช วอลเลย์ เฟสติวัล ภูเก็ต พาวเวอร์บาย พีทีที” ระหว่างวันที่ 23 – 27 มีนาคม 2559 ณ หาดกะรน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต เพื่อส่งเสริมกิจกรรมกีฬาเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว ตลอดจนสร้างภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีด้านการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาจังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยกำหนดการแถลงข่าวการแข่งขันในวันพุธ ที่ 23 มีนาคม 2559 เวลา 14.00 น. ณ ห้องวรบุรี ภูเก็ต รีสอร์ทแอนด์สปา หาดกะรน โดยจะมีการแข่งขันทั้งหมด 2 รายการ แบ่งเป็น รายการอเมเจอร์ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย รุ่น 2×2 ทีมชาย รุ่น 2×2 ทีมหญิง และรุ่น 4×4 คู่ผสม มีนักกีฬาจาก 18 ชาติตอบรับการเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้ และรายการพีทีที สกูล คัพ แข่งขันแบบ 4×4 รุ่นอายุไม่เกิน 16 ปี มีทีมเข้าร่วม 5 ทีม ได้แก่ โรงเรียนเทศบาลวัดขจรเกียรติ ทีม A และ B โรงเรียนเทศบาลปลูกปัญญา ในพระอุปถัมป์ฯ ทีม A และทีม B และโรงเรียนกีฬากรุงเทพมหานคร กำหนดการแข่งขันระหว่างวันที่ 24 – 27 มีนาคม 2559 นี้

ทั้งนี้ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัด ได้เน้นย้ำให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องในการจัดการแข่งขันเตรียมความพร้อมในทุกด้าน ทั้งในด้านความปลอดภัย สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก แพทย์ประจำสนาม ฯลฯ เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักท่องเที่ยวและผู้เข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขัน และให้มีการประชาสัมพันธ์อย่างทั่วถึง เพื่อให้เกิดการมีส่วนร่วมของภาคประชาชน และให้มีการประเมินผลตั้งแต่ก่อนเริ่มการจัดการแข่งขันจนเสร็จสิ้นการแข่งขันเพื่อใช้เป็นข้อมูลในการจัดการแข่งขันในครั้งต่อไป
