จังหวัดภูเก็ตเตรียมขับเคลื่อนโครงการตลาดอาหารเกษตรที่ปลอดภัย
เมื่อวันที่ 23 พฤษภาคม  2559  ที่ห้องประชุมศูนย์ป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยเขต 18 อ. เมืองภูเก็ต ดร.ประเจียด อักษรธรรมกุล รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานการประชุมโครงการตลาดอาหารเกษตรที่ปลอดภัยสู่การสัมมนา เสวนาฯ เพื่อให้ความรู้ และเสวนาเพื่อรับฟังความคิดเห็น กระบวนการผลิต การตลาด สู่ผู้บริโภคอาหารเกษตรที่ปลอดภัย โดยมีนายสมชาย สกุลชิต ประธานสภาเกษตรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ว่าที่ ร.ต. จตุรภัทร รัตนะวิศาลนนท์ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาการเกษตรภูเก็ตและส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง เข้าร่วม

สภาเกษตรกรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้ให้ความสำคัญในเรื่องนี้ จึงให้มีการจัดการเรื่องอาหารเกษตรที่ปลอดภัย เพื่อประชากรชาวภูเก็ตและนักท่องเที่ยวผู้มาเยือนจังหวัดภูเก็ต โดยมีหน่วยงานภาครัฐและองค์กรเอกชนรวม 14 หน่วยงานที่ร่วมขับเคลื่อน ซึ่งการจัดโครงการดังกล่าวเป็นการสร้างความมั่นใจแก่ผู้บริโภคในด้านอาหารปลอดภัยของจังหวัดภูเก็ต และหลังจากนี้จะได้มีการควบคุมในส่วนต่าง ๆ ทั้งในภาคการผลิต หน่วยควบคุมการลดการใช้สารพิษและการส่งเสริมการจัดการในรูปแบบเกษตรอินทรีย์ ส่วนภาคการผลิตอาหารก็จะมีการควบคุมและมีคู่มือมาตรฐานอาหารปลอดภัย มีโลโก้ มี Brand ของตนเอง มี Phuket Brand เพื่อเพิ่มระดับความเชื่อมั่นของผู้บริโภคตลอดไป
