พัฒนาการจังหวัดภูเก็ต จัดกิจกรรม “คน พช.ภูเก็ต รดน้ำขอพร ประจำปี 2559” ส่งเสริมเจ้าหน้าที่ให้มีความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่อผู้สูงอายุและญาติผู้ใหญ่สนองนโยบายค่านิยม 12 ประการของรัฐบาล
เมื่อวันที่ 8 เมษายน  2559 เวลา 10.30 น. ที่วัดวิชิตสังฆาราม (วัดควน) อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดภูเก็ต นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดในโครงการคน พช.ภูเก็ต รดน้ำขอพร ประจำปี 2559 โดยมี นางวรรณธนา ไฝสีดำ พัฒนาการจังหวัดภูเก็ต นางวาสนา ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา นายกเหล่ากาชาดจังหวัดภูเก็ต และส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้อง ตลอดจนประชาชนเข้าร่วม

นางวรรณธนา ไฝสีดำ กล่าวว่า ประเพณีรดน้ำดำหัวถือเป็นประเพณีที่ดีงามอีกประเพณีหนึ่ง ที่ประชาชนชาวไทยถือปฏิบัติสืบทอดกันมาเป็นระยะเวลาที่ยาวนาน ซึ่งการรดน้ำดำหัวผู้สูงอายุหรือญาติผู้ใหญ่ บุคคลผู้ที่ตนให้ความเคารพนับถือ จะเป็นการขอโทษ ขออภัยซึ่งกันและกัน ที่เคยล่วงเกินกันในปีที่ผ่านมา ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการล่วงเกินทางกาย ล่วงเกินทางวาจา หรือล่วงเกินทางใจ ทั้งที่ตั้งใจหรือไม่ตั้งใจ ต่อหน้าและลับหลังก็ตาม

สำนักงานพัฒนาชุมชนจังหวัดภูเก็ต จึงได้จัดทำโครงการคน พช.ภูเก็ต รดน้ำขอพร ประจำปี 2559 ขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมให้เจ้าหน้าที่พัฒนาชุมชนตระหนักในคุณค่า และแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่อผู้สูงอายุหรือญาติผู้ใหญ่ บุคคลที่ตนให้ความเคารพนับถือ เนื่องจากเป็นผู้ได้รับการยกย่องเชิดชูในฐานะที่เป็นปูชนียบุคคล ซึ่งได้ประกอบคุณความดี และประโยชน์ต่อท้องถิ่น สังคม ประเทศชาติมาอย่างต่อเนื่องยาวนาน และเพื่อศึกษาวัฒนธรรมประเพณีวันสงกรานต์ และประเพณีรดน้ำดำหัว ให้คงอยู่ตลอดไป
