พล.ต.ต.กระจ่าง สุวรรณรัตน์ รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจภูธรภาค8 เป็นประธานพิธีปล่อยแถวระดมกวาดล้างอาชญากรรม พร้อมด้วย นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต รองผู้บังคับการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ผู้กำกับการทุกสถานีตำรวจ เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายปกครอง ร่วมเป็นเกียรติ ณ ลานด้านหน้าสถานีตำรวจภูธรเมืองภูเก็ต

พ.ต.อ.พีรยุทธ การะเจดีย์ รองผู้บัญชาการตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้กล่าวรายงานว่า สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ สั่งการให้ทุกหน่วย ระดมกวาดล้างอาชญากรรม ระหว่างวันที่ 20 – 26 ธันวาคม 2557 และตำรวจภูธรภาค8 ได้สั่งการให้ทำพิธีปล่อยแถวในวันที่ 20 ธันวาคม 2557 พร้อมกันเพื่อแสดงถึงความพร้อม และสร้างความเชื่อมั่นในการดูแลความปลอดภัยให้แก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยว เนื่องจากช่วงดังกล่าวเป็นเทศกาลคริสต์มาส ต่อเนื่องเทศกาลวันขึ้นปีใหม่ ประจำปี 2558 มีวันหยุดติดต่อกันหลายวัน ประชาชนเดินทางกลับภูมิลำเนา หรือเดินทางไปท่องเที่ยวตามสถานที่ต่างๆ อาจเกิดความไม่ปลอดภัยในชีวิตและทรัพย์สินขึ้นได้ ตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต ซึ่งตระหนักถึงความปลอดภัยและสวัสดิภาพของประชาชนตลอดจนนักท่องเที่ยว อีกทั้งจะต้องถือปฏิบัติตามมาตรการทุกๆด้านที่สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติกำหนดมา จึงได้จัดพิธีปล่อยแถวระดมกวาดล้างอาชญากรรมในครั้งนี้ขึ้น โดยมีการบูรณาการกำลังข้าราชการตำรวจ จากตำรวจภูธรจังหวัดภูเก็ต กองกำกับการ 5 กองบังคับการตำรวจท่องเที่ยว ตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองภูเก็ต ตำรวจตรวจคนเข้าเมืองท่าอากาศยานภูเก็ต กองกำกับการ 8 กองบังคับการตำรวจน้ำ ตำรวจสันติบาลภูเก็ต ตำรวจกองบัญชาการปราบปรามยาเสพติด ตำรวจพิสูจน์หลักฐานจังหวัดภูเก็ต ฝ่ายปกครอง ตลอดรวมถึงอาสาสมัครภาคประชาชนผู้มีจิตอาสาทุกประเภท พร้อมจะทุ่มเทสรรพกำลังอย่างเต็มความสามารถ เพื่อดูแลประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวให้เกิดความปลอดภัยในชีวิตและทรัพย์สินอย่างสูงสุด

พล.ต.ต.กระจ่าง สุวรรณรัตน์ กล่าวให้โอวาทว่า ทราบโดยทั่วกันแล้วว่า ช่วงเทศกาลคริสต์มาส ต่อเนื่องเทศกาลวันขึ้นปีใหม่ ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวจะเดินทางกลับภูมิลำเนา หรือเดินทางไปท่องเที่ยวเป็นจำนวนมาก จึงเป็นหน้าที่โดยตรงของข้าราชการตำรวจ โดยมีอาสาสมัครภาคประชาชนเป็นผู้ช่วยเหลือ ที่จะต้องระดมสรรพกำลังเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในการเดินทาง และดูแลด้านต่างๆ ตลอดรวมถึงการป้องกันปราบปรามอาชญากรรมทุกรูปแบบ เพื่อให้เกิดความปลอดภัยแก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวอย่างเต็มความสามารถ เพื่อเป็นการสร้างความเชื่อมั่นทั้งด้านความปลอดภัย ด้านการจราจร และด้านอื่นๆ  ในการสร้างความสุขให้แก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยว ทุกท่านจะต้องทุ่มเททั้งกำลังกาย กำลังใจ ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตลอดระยะเวลาที่กำหนดไว้ ขอให้ทุกท่านมีความระมัดระวัง คำนึงถึงความปลอดภัยให้นำยุทธวิธีตำรวจมาใช้ในการตรวจค้น จับกุมทุกครั้ง
