นายนิสิต จันทร์สมวงศ์ กล่าวว่า การชกมวยไทยคาดเชือกออรอจินอลของจังหวัดภูเก็ตในครั้งนี้ เป็นการดำเนินการภายใต้โครงการอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อคืนความสุขให้ประชาชนตามนโยบายของรัฐบาล การส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวภูเก็ต การสืบสานมรดกแม่ไม้มวยไทยศิลปะการป้องกันตัว และเป็นการสร้างสัมพันธ์อันดีในกลุ่มประชาคมอาเซียน ซึ่งการชกมวยมีนักมวยจากประเทศกลุ่มอาเซียนเข้าร่วมชกด้วย ทั้งนี้ การชกมวยคาดเชือกออรอจินอลดังกล่าวฯในวันนี้ ได้ดำเนินการถ่ายทอดสดทางสถานีโทรทัศน์กองทัพบก ช่อง 5  และโกลเบิลเน็ตเวิรค์ไปกว่า 170 ประเทศทั่วโลก คาดว่าจะทำให้ประเทศไทย และจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้รับความสนใจในกิจกรรมเป็นจำนวนมาก รวมทั้งการกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน ให้ดียิ่งขึ้นต่อไป
