เมื่อวันที่ 14 พฤษภาคม 2559  เวลา 10.00 น. ที่บริเวณคลองมุดง นาย ภาคภูมิ อินทรสุวรรณ ปลัดจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานเปิดโครงการ อบจ. สัญจรครั้งที่ 2 ประจำปีงบประมาณ 2559 โดยมี นายวัชรินทร์ ปฐมวัฒนพงศ์ ปลัดองค์บริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายสาธิต กลิ่นภักดี ท้องถิ่นจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายกรีฑา โชติวิชญ์พิพัฒน์ นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลวิชิต สมาชิกสภา ผู้บริหาร เจ้าหน้าที่ เทศบาลตำบลวิชิตและองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต รวมถึงส่วนราชการ ภาคเอกชน และประชาชนในพื้นที่เทศบาลตำบลวิชิตเข้าร่วม

นายวัชรินทร์ ปฐมวัฒนพงศ์ กล่าวว่า โครงการอบจ. สัญจรเป็นงานที่องค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ตจัดมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อส่งเสริมกระบวนการมีส่วน ร่วมของประชาชนทุกภาคส่วนโดยครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ 2 ของปีงบประมาณ 2559 โดยร่วมกับจังหวัดภูเก็ตและเทศบาลตำบลวิชิตจัดขึ้นเพื่อให้สมาชิกสภาและคณะผู้บริหารองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ตได้พบปะเยี่ยมเยียนประชาชน เพื่อรับฟังเรื่องราวร้องทุกข์ของประชาชนตลอดจนเพื่อการสร้างความปรองดองสมานฉันท์ตามแนวทางของศูนย์ปรองดองสมานฉันท์เพื่อการปฏิรูปองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดภูเก็ต ที่มุ่งสร้างความรัก ความสามัคคี ความปรองดองโดยเน้นการมีส่วนร่วมของประชาชนทุกภาคส่วน

กิจกรรมในวันนี้ มีหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนได้ร่วมกันจัดขึ้น อาทิ โรงเรียนต่าง ๆ ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลวิชิตจัดการแสดงบนเวทีเพื่อส่งเสริมการแสดงออกของนักเรียน ชมรมผู้สูงอายุจัดการแสดงของสมาชิกชมรมฯ เพื่อสร้างความสุขให้แก่ประชาชนผู้มาร่วมงาน ส่วนราชการและภาคเอกชนรวม 45 หน่วยงาน 6 หน่วยเคลื่อนที่ให้บริการแก่ประชาชน อาทิ โรงพยาบาล อบจ. ภูเก็ต ให้คำปรึกษาและตรวจสุขภาพเบื้องต้น สำนักงานเหล่ากาชาดจังหวัดภูเก็ตและสโมสรไลอ้อนส์ภูเก็ตบริการแจกแว่นสายตายาวสำหรับผู้สูงอายุ ศูนย์ดำรงธรรมจังหวัดภูเก็ตให้คำปรึกษารับเรื่องร้องเรียนร้องทุกข์ สำนักงาน ปปช.จ.ภูเก็ตแจกวารสารสุจริต นิทานคุณธรรม เผยแพร่ความรู้ด้านการป้องกันและปราบปรามการทุจริต สำนักงาน กกต. ประจำจังหวัดภูเก็ต ให้ความรู้การลงประชามติผ่านร่างรัฐธรรมนูญ วันที่ 7 ส.ค. 59 วิทยาลัยอาชีวศึกษาภูเก็ตบริการสอนสาธิตการทำพวงกุญแจประดิษฐ์ตุ๊กตา รวมถึงสำนักงานปศุสัตว์จังหวัดบริการผ่าตัดทำหมันและฉีดวัคซีนสุนัขแมวให้คำปรึกษาแจกเวชภัณฑ
