การแข่งขันเซปักตระกร้อและตะกร้อวงลีลา เทศบาลตำบลศรีสุนทรคัพ ครั้งที่ 3  จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 5-6 กันยายน 2558

เมื่อวันที่ 5 กันยายน 2558 เวลา 09.00 น. ทีสนามตะกร้อขุมน้ำบางมะรวน นายวรวุฒิ ทรงยศ นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลศรีสุนทร เป็นประธานเปิดการแข่งขันเซปักตระกร้อและตะกร้อวงลีลา เทศบาลตำบลศรีสุนทรคัพ ครั้งที่ 3 มี คณะผู้บริหาร สมาชิกสภา พนักงานเทศบาล คณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งตลอดจนนักกีฬาเข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้

นายวรวุฒิ ทรงยศ นายกเทศมนตรีตำบลศรีสุนทร กล่าวว่า การจัด การแข่งขันเซปักตระกร้อและตะกร้อวงลีลา เทศบาลตำบลศรีสุนทรคัพ ครั้งที่ 3 นั้น จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 5-6 กันยายน 2558 โดยแบ่งการแข่งขันเป็น 3 ประเภท ได้แก่ เซปักตะกร้อประเภทอายุรวม 120 ปี ขึ้นไป มีทีมส่งเข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขัน 24 ทีม เซปักตะกร้อประเภทประชาชนทั่วไปจังหวัดภูเก็ตมีทีมส่งเข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขัน 21 ทีม และตะกร้อวงลีลาประเภทประชาชนทั่วไป มีทีมส่งเข้าร่วมทำการแข่งขัน 8 ทีม

นายวรวุฒิ กล่าวอีกว่า สำหรับการวัตถุประสงค์ในการจัดการแข่งขันในครั้งนี้เพื่อส่งเสริมให้เด็กและเยาวชน ประชาชนทั่วไป รู้จักใช้เวลาว่างให้เป็นประโยชน์ ห่างไกลยาเสพติด ด้วยการเล่นกีฬา อีกทั้งเป็นการแสดงถึงความสามารถด้านกีฬา รู้จักเคารพกติกา รู้แพ้ รู้ชนะ รู้อภัย และมีน้ำใจเป็นนักกีฬา รวมไปถึงการประสานความสัมพันธ์ ความรัก ความสามัคคีต่อกัน ระหว่างเยาวชน ประชาชนทั่วไปและเป็นการอนุรักษ์กีฬาตะกร้อวงลีลาให้คงอยู่กับชุมชนต่อไป
