เนื่องในวโรกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 5 ธันวามหาราช เทศบาลนครภูเก็ตได้ร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆเพื่อเป็นการแสดงออกถึงความจงรักภักดีและรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯล้นเกล้าของชาวไทย เทศบาลนครภูเก็ตโดยนางสาวสมใจ สุวรรณสุภพนา นายกเทศมนตรีนครภูเก็ตพร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร สมาชิกสภาเทศบาล หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และพนักงานเทศบาลได้ร่วมพิธีทำบุญตักบาตรวันพ่อ ในวันที่5ธันวาคม 2557 เวลา 07.00 น. ซึ่งได้ร่วมพิธีทำบุญตักบาตรข้าวสารอาหารแห้งแด่พระภิกษุสามเณร เพื่อถวายเป็นพระราชกุศลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวเนื่องในโอกาสมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 87 พรรษา  5 ธันวาคม 2557 โดยมี นายนิสิตจันสมวงศ์ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ตเป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยนายสมเกียรติ สังข์ขาวสุทธิรักษ์ นายพัลลภ สิงหเสนี และนายสุธี ทองแย้มรองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ตหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ ข้าราชการพลเรือน ทหาร ตำรวจ ข้าราชการตุลาการพนักงานท้องถิ่น พนักงานรัฐวิสาหกิจ เหล่ากาชาดจังหวัดภูเก็ต ชมรม สมาคมตลอดจนประชาชนทุกหมู่เหล่า เข้าร่วมในพิธีทำบุญตักบาตรและมีพระภิกษุสามเณร จำนวน๘๗ รูป ออกบิณฑบาต ณ บริเวณสวนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ  72 พรรษามหาราชินี อ.เมือง จ.ภูเก็ต

เวลา 08.50 น. ได้ร่วมพิธีลงนามถวายพระพรชัยมงคล พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวเนื่องในโอกาส มหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 87 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2557 โดยมี นายนิสิต จันสมวงศ์ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในพิธีภูเก็ต พร้อมด้วยข้าราชการพลเรือน ข้าราชการตุลาการ อัยการ ทหาร ตำรวจผู้บริหาร ข้าราชการองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น องค์กรเอกชน ประชาชนจังหวัดภูเก็ตทุกหมู่เหล่า ร่วมกันลงนามถวายพระพรชัยมงคล และถวายราชสดุดีเฉลิมพระเกียรติหน้าพระบรมฉายาลักษณ์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวขอพระองค์ทรงพระเจริญยิ่งยืนนาน และร่วมกันถวายสัตย์ปฏิญาณตนเป็นพลังของแผ่นดินและเป็นข้าราชการที่ดีใน พระองค์ตลอดไป และนอกจากนี้ ผู้นำศาสนา คริสต์ ซิก และอิสลาม ยังได้ร่วมประกอบพิธีทางศาสนาถวายพระพรชัยมงคลแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่ หัวด้วยเช่นเดียวกัน ณ หอประชุม มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏภูเก็ต

เวลา 19.00 น. ได้ร่วมในพิธีถวายเครื่องราชสักการะ ถวายราชสดุดีเฉลิมพระเกียรติ และจุดเทียนชัยถวายพระพร พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวเนื่องในโอกาสวันมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 87 พรรษา 5 ธันวาคม 2557
