เมื่อวันที่ 11 มีนาคม  2559  ที่ห้องประชุมชั้น 1 ศาลากลางจังหวัดภูเก็ต นายจำเริญ ทิพญพงศ์ธาดา ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต เป็นประธานในการประชุมเร่งรัดติดตามการใช้จ่ายงบประมาณ ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2559 (เฉพาะรายการที่ยังไม่ก่อหนี้ผูกพัน/และมีปัญหาอุปสรรคในการดำเนินงาน) ครั้งที่ 3/2559 โดยมี นายขจรเกียรติ รักพานิชมณี รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต พล.ต.ต. ธีระพล ทิพย์เจริญ ผบก.ภ.จว.ภก. นางเสาวภา ลิ่มศิลา คลังจังหวัดภูเก็ต และหน่วยงานส่วนราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องเข้าร่วม

วาระที่สำคัญในการประชุมได้แก่ การติดตามการดำเนินงานและการเบิกจ่ายงบประมาณจ่ายลงทุนของส่วนราชการ เฉพาะรายการที่ยังไม่ก่อหนี้ผูกพัน การติดตามเร่งรัดการดำเนินงานและการใช้จ่ายเงินงบประมาณจังหวัดภูเก็ต ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2559 ในโครงการพัฒนาและปรับปรุงลำคลอง แหล่งน้ำ และป้องกันตลิ่งเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว โครงการภูเก็ตปลอดภัยเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว โครงการจัดหาแหล่งน้ำดิบเพื่อการอุปโภคเพื่อการท่องเที่ยว และการติดตามการดำเนินงานและการใช้จ่ายงบประมาณกลุ่มจังหวัดภาคใต้ฝั่งอันดามันประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2559

ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดภูเก็ต ได้เน้นย้ำให้ทุกหน่วยงานเร่งรัดการเบิกจ่ายงบประมาณและเร่งก่อหนี้ผูกพันให้แล้วเสร็จโดยเร็วที่สุด และขอให้หัวหน้าส่วนราชการเข้าร่วมประชุมด้วยตนเอง แต่หากไม่สามารถเข้าร่วมประชุมได้ ก็ให้มอบหมายให้เจ้าหน้าที่เกี่ยวข้องและมีอำนาจในการตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมประชุมแทน
